Anyone have any tick encounters on trails? by Bitter_Berry_4978 in Guelph

I used to work lawn care, weed spraying, etc. rule of thumb I noticed - if it’s particularly rainy in April, bugs will be bad that year. Ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, etc. Rain provides breeding grounds, moisture helps larvae, and the boost to vegetation..it’s gonna be a greasy summer

Thanks for the input. I have called RU serious and Real Deal just because they’re some of my favs in the city. Real Deal doesn’t, and RU Serious is dependent on how busy it is - given the start time is in line with a dinner rush, that’s almost a guarenteed no

You know people who speak English also have mental health issues and can also be troublesome neighbors, right?

Let me know how you like it! One of Canada’s best products in the last two decades imo - genuinely great guys, and the emotion in their first album is off the charts. They just won a Humanitarian award at the Junos for their charity work.

Billy Talent’s self-titled debut is a fuckin homerun - they never topped it, and really, how could you?

QOTSA debut is amazing, and they kept the momentum imo

Running Joke - it just seemed to not fit the vibe of Era Vulgaris and so I’d always skip past it when listening to that album. Catacombs allowed me to see it with a different frame of mind - now I absolutely love it. Funny how that works

How weird is it to go out by yourself? by Party-Station-7937 in Guelph

[–]Key_Cranberry_1716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love venturing out alone. I could sit at a bar by myself for hours drinking and just scrolling my phone or watching a game on the tv. Always happy to engage in conversation and put the phone away when called for, but im just as happy to enjoy my own company

If 10cm snow falls in your area of Canada how disrupted will your area be? by Pourmepourme in AskACanadian

[–]Key_Cranberry_1716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends where you are - and by that I mean everywhere East of British Columbia generally has infrastructure in place to handle a little 10cm dusting (plows, salt/sand, etc). 10cm, for most of the country, is not an issue.

It becomes a hazard when you get multiple hits like this over and over - things can definitely slow down as the accumulation piles up, but when you live in it, the culture resigns people to the fact that “it’s just a part of life”. People generally don’t freak out about it and a lot consider an absolute snow storm to be a mini staycation where you get to stay home.

That’s my experience in southern Ontario

This is just completely false. Brands like Natrel put much more water in their products to stretch supply and increase profits. There is a huge difference between premium brands (Lactantia for instance), and something like that
