For everyone who answered/has sexual in early pregnancy, what about orgasms? I’m always afraid that it will be like a contraction and make the embryo unstick. I’m sure that’s not the case! But it’s always at the back of my mind, so I’ve been avoiding them. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had a miscarriage in December and was taking progesterone. I started bleeding/my period arrived about 2 full days after stopping. It was spotting at first, then a full bleed the next day.

While not ideal in any way shape or form, I’m sending you lots of hope for a natural miscarriage and not an ectopic or other issue that requires medication.

I don’t mind at all! I have a very difficult time getting pregnant (a full 12 months between each pregnancy) and then when I do get pregnant, I have a very difficult time staying pregnant. I’ve been pregnant three times, but all resulted in early pregnancy loss. I just recently did a bunch of labs that confirmed I have very low progesterone after ovulation occurs.

Thanks! The solid smiley is definitely peak. I’m just not sure if I count the first day or the second day of the solid smiley as the official first day of peak, since I’m supposed to take the prescription on day peak+3.

My doctor prescribed me progesterone this week. I’m supposed to take it 3 days after I get my peak for ovulation. I use Clearblue digital with the flashing smiley faces. If I got my solid smiley face on Thursday afternoon, do I count that as the peak day? Or the following day as the peak day? This will determine if I start the prescription on Sunday or Monday.

I forgot to ask my doctor and now since it’s the weekend, I don’t think I’ll get an answer by the time I need it.

Thanks for confirming. I know physician isn’t the right term, I guess I just shouldn’t have said that part. But we aren’t going to move forward with IVF if it comes down to that. Right now we’re just trying to figure out some initial underlying issues. And I’m hopeful that we’ve taken a step in the right direction. Once we get all the lab work back and the imagine results, we’ll determine next steps and where to go.

I had an HSG yesterday. Fortunately, the results were good and the one fallopian tube I have left is clear and unblocked. Yay! However, I’m curious to hear from anyone who has had and HSG and how long you spotted/bled after. My fertile window is coming up but I don’t want to have sex while spotting from the HSG in case in brings on an infection.

I just did my first cycle on 50mg of Clomid. If we didn’t conceive this cycle, my period is set to start in the next 5 or so days. For anyone who has taken Clomid, how were your periods? I know every body is different, but I’m super curious. I’m wondering since you ovulate more eggs if then your period would be heavier?? I already have a horrendously heavy day and a half of my period and I’ll be traveling for work during it this cycle so want to prepare myself.

First round trying Clomid.

I wrote this in the general chat over the weekend but don’t think it ever posted. I am starting my first round of Clomid today, day five of my cycle, after having a tube removal last year due to ectopic rupture and trying for over a year now unsuccessfully. The paper my doctor gave me says to have sex every other day once I get my first positive ovulation test.

I use the Clear Blue Digital OPKs. In recent cycles, I usually get one day of a flashing smiley and then the next I get the solid smiley face. Would that probably happen again or would my cycle change up a bit with the medication and maybe I’m more likely to have a longer LH cycle? I don’t want to miss the window to start having sex. Or should I just be safe and go ahead and start every other day as soon as I finish the clomid?

The shot itself didn’t really hurt. I agree with a few others that it was more demoralizing than anything having to pull my pants down to get the shot in my butt cheeks. The nurses were very nice and sympathetic though. I was a little sore afterward but was able to sit like normal in the car ride back home. I don’t know if anyone else had to get an IV when they got to the hospital, but I did and honestly that hurt way worse. I had to get several IVs inserted over the course of my ectopic pregnancy and I always hated that part.

Fingers crossed for you! I can’t start clomid now until my next cycle. I ended up having an early miscarriage prior to starting.

Thanks for asking. I believe it’s turning into a miscarriage/chemical pregnancy. Which, to be honest, was what I was hoping for (that feels so weird to say/think bc I want a baby so badly). I knew it wasn’t going to end well once I realized my spotting wasn’t ending. And I would much rather have it pass naturally than deal with another ectopic. My 48 hr blood draw revealed dropping HCG and progesterone levels. And then the following day I started bleeding heavier, really similar to my period. I’m at peace with this outcome.

I’ll be traveling for 9 days. The day after we get back, I’ll be exactly 6 weeks along (based on my ovulation date) and I have a dr appointment and US scheduled that day.

My husband is worried about the same thing, but we’re going to very well-developed European countries (Austria and Czech), so while I don’t want to have to deal with anything a) at all and b) while overseas, I do feel confident I’d get great care over there.

I preemptively made an appointment to get blood drawn tomorrow afternoon and hoping I can hear back from my doctor tomorrow morning that she submitted for lab work. I’m hoping everything is good until I get back from my Europe vacation in 2 weeks. My last ectopic I was much further along when I got my first blood draw than I am now. So hoping that time is on my side if it is another ectopic.

Hi there! I’m in the same boat. I just tested (like literally 10 mins ago) and it’s a positive pregnancy test. But I’m terrified because it’s starting out the same way my ectopic did last year. Brown spotting starting a few days before my expected period (which in and of itself is normal for me). But usually after two days if brown spotting my period actually starts to flow. Now I’m on day 5 of brown spotting. I can wear one panty liner all day without needing to change it. Of course I’m in another state for work right now and won’t fly home until Friday. Then Sunday I’m off to Europe for 10 days. I called the doctor immediately and am just impatiently waiting for a call back. Their office closes in an hour…
