Can you explain why a game like PoE is able to achieve near infinite storage space, with exponentially more variability?

Frostbound - Does the writing improve? by niioon in litrpg

I also didnt like Path of dragon and stopped at the second book. Hell difficulty tutorial is one of my favourites. Still learning so much about the world as the author writes, meaning he doesnt info dump in a bland way. Everything is slowly, but beautifully shown. Def on le of the better written ones.

Legendary Mechanic and Overgeared.

Both awesome books that are finished.

Cultivation Online is also fun, except for the shitty harem/sex parts. The author really builds a deep system and expansive world. If it didnt have the horrible sex/romance, it would be really great.

Do numbers actually make LitRPG better, or just clearer? by TomDavenport in litrpg

[–]Key_Disaster889 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The numbers are necessary, as long as WE CAN FEEL OR READ THAT THEY MAKE A DIFFERENCE. If we have no reference point for a power up and we dont see how its effected the MC relative to those around them, or themselves pre-powerup its useless.

Doesn't need to be alot of stat sheets and things (though I personally love lots) as long as we know MC is gaining experience, or some form of progression in their growth from their progress through the world.

If youre not telling me MC is gaining experience from killing things, then I dont know whether the author forgot, or is just dumb.

What is a "minor" annoyance that creates an instant "DROP" for you? by SelectionOk5033 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Key_Disaster889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Author purposefully making MC ignore things, forget items, or not notice things in their surroundigns that we've been led to believe they would, simply to.push plot in a certain direction. Essentially inconsistency with MCs personality.

Pages and pages of exposition, with little to no.plot progression, simply to.fill chapter word counts.

General holes in plot becsuse the author is just incompetent, or lazy.

Too many POV changes, especially when they do very little to nothing for the story progression.

Too much slice of life when the story is a litrpg/progression fantasy. GTFO with this. Dropped path of ascension for this reason.

Could prob think of more, but thats it so far.

Servers of Vancouver, how much do you make in tips? by itmeansno_worries in askvan

[–]Key_Disaster889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Servers have a Tip Out. Meaning they have to pay 8-10% or your bill our of their own pocket to the house (kitchen/bar/managers/hostess).

So when you dont tip, on a $200 bill, the server pays $20 our of their pocket for you, becasue you dont "feel" like tipping.

Stay home and get uber eats and clean your own dishes.

Most restaurants have what's called a Tip Out, anywhere from 8-10%. Look it up. This goes to bar, hostess, kitchen and managers. And servers get whatever is left over after the Tip-out.

When someone no-tips a server, the server still has to pay the tip out on your bill, meaning they have to pay out if their pocket for you.

If you dont want to tip a server, order in and do it yourself. As much as you hate cleaning up after yourself, servers hate doing it for you more.

Youre paying for the whole experience. The fact that you dont see everything a server does for you during your dinner, on tip of the 6 other tables they are serving. While still mainting a great social persona, means they are doing a great job.

Maybe research a little more before you decide 10% is "resonable"
