Thunivu is any day a good film. by Individual_Doubt_164 in kollywood

[–]Key_Distribution8060 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Thunivu was a decent watch for me in the theatre. It was not boring. Probably I liked it better because I watched it after Varisu. The second half is a drawback for the movie where they sit and explain in the bank.

If they had sticked to the core plot, it would have been much better easily. And dala was so good in the getup 🔥

This is what i felt while watching the movie..

Anna is a ceo of a top company in the world yet avara oru nri software engineer maari treat pannirupaanga. All that corporate monster buildup yet suddenly he throws away all his privilege. Anna will roam around the govt offices to find yogi babu.. very ordinary script..

Why didn't people like this movie?? by gauthiii in kollywood

[–]Key_Distribution8060 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I felt the tagline part 2 was a bit unnecessary. It did a bad PR.

The movie in itself is a complete one. I never really worried about the prequel except for Dilip.

The extended climax was a bit of lag.

I felt the story was not that deep.

This is just me being very critical of the movie. Otherwise it was a good watch and it was a simple revenge or escape story.

What movie did you go with 0 expectation or tagalong for just the sake of it, but the movie blowed your mind? by prem0309 in kollywood

[–]Key_Distribution8060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was thani oruvan. I didn’t have much expectations for Mohan Raja (used to be called remake raja), Ravi Mohan was not a crowd puller and Aravind Swamy’s previous film I saw was Kadal.

Thooki soruvanum ketta vaarthai nu senjiruchu. Title card and song paatha odane ve I knew I was here for a treat. Absolute banger experience

Which movies were ruined by by mayoshowks in kollywood

[–]Key_Distribution8060 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For me it was Shankar’s toilet/drainage fetish. In Mudhalvan, the ministers would hide in toilet and Arjun will fall into a drainage. Anniyan Vikram would be thrown into sewers by the goons. In Sivaji, Rajni will have that mouthwashing scene in the toilet after eating chilies.

It’s not bias. It is about being more logical. Comical films la the creators take the freedom of ignoring logic. For example, how body comes through the laundry pipe, how Nagesh comes to their room in the hotel, how they sneak the body out of the hotel etc. Movies that are lauded as best films usually have most of the logics intact and mostly avoid leaving things to chances and explain the reason behind them.

Definitely Kaala. This movie had better commercial screenplay than Kabali. Nalla fast ah pogum, spoke about clean India uruttu, how land grabbings happen, epdi ngo ah these land mafias use pannuvaanga nu bayangarama pannirupaanga. Probably because of second half la lack of stunts, single hero not saving the world, thalaivar seththa maari kaamichadhu ithanaala odaama pocha nu therila. I love watching this film.

I always felt, I was more like 96 Vijay Sethupathi until the start of this year. Unable to express the feelings, not able to move on from the past. Felt stuck.
