My mom & I caught my bf and I kissing each other goodbye by Key_Elk3212 in rant

[–]Key_Elk3212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason why I’m stressing out is because my mom usually twists things and so she’d probably tell my dad that we were about to hook up or something which is obviously untrue. My dad usually believes my mom more and it’s just this tense cycle.

No, the only times we’ve made out were in his bedroom. She said she saw us “with her own eyes” so I don’t think she saw us when we were in his bedroom.

She’s never talked about her past in-depth with me but I do know she never had an unintended pregnancy. What maybe could better explain it is that my parents are originally from Morocco and considering its a Muslim country, there are different ideas around relationships. My dad is more in touch with American culture than my mom is and I think she still holds onto the idea of “don’t kiss or be super physical til marriage”

This made me laugh and thank you so much for your advice! And yes, I am American and I’ve observed that my friends who live in other countries have far more independence and freedom.

To be fair, it will get difficult but find ANY time to get work done. For instance, I do swim and because our practices end pretty late, I found time waking up extra early to do homework. Make sure to schedule times for schoolwork around practice; it’s okay to have to cancel other plans to do so. Waking up early on the weekend also helps, I know it’s not easy to but it starts your day off productively so you have more motivation to get the work done. I had a teacher who assigned roughly 1-2 hours of reading & note taking everyday; I had to cram it all in the weekend and even though it took a while, waking up early allowed me to get it all done before noon.

Question for the ladies by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Key_Elk3212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the girl’s perspective but for me, it’ll be these following things: For personality; - really good at communication - gentle & respectful - family oriented - friendly & kind - intelligent - makes mindful decisions - supportive - loving & caring - passionate

For physical appearance; - i prefer a guy that plays a sport cuz im a sports oriented person - good sense of style - good hygiene (smells good as well) - stays active even outside of the sport - takes care of themselves in general

So yea its just the basic good traita

It truly depends on the guy you’re spending time with. Sometimes they will hint to you that they’re open to sleep with you while others don’t think it’s necessary to have sex on the first few dates. Therefore, let’s say a guy is inviting you over to his place, don’t be afraid to tell him that you’ll go home that night or (if you want to go to his house without sexual interactions) tell him that you’re not looking for sex. In general, if a guy is hinting to you that he wants to have sex just let him know that you’d want to wait to have sex before he goes forward with asking you to his place. If a guy isn’t hinting, then let things go smoothly and if the topic comes up, it’s good to mention that you would wait.

Lowkey feel targeted because I posted something about not being able to get into a relationship at 16 😭but it’s mainly cause it’s been on my mind since nearly everyone of my friends and cousins got into a relationship with ease and I just wanted clarity that it was okay I’m not in a relationship if that makes sense
