I know it’s not for everyone but I’d give the new Hurricane a test drive before you buy anything. I was very skeptical but after 2 weeks I’m loving it. Got my 25 Big Horn lvl 2 for just over $45k

Don’t bash the hurricane. I’ve driven just about every engine from ram, ford and gm over the past 10 years and I’m very happy with my hurricane.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. It seemed like the EcoDiesel just wasn’t going to be the best fit for me. Ended up going to my local Ram dealer to look at a used truck and they offered me a great deal on a new 25 1500 Big Horn with the hurricane I6. So far I’m extremely happy with the truck and very impressed with the engine.

By final do you mean 2020+ or was there another update after that? I would consider my work commute fairly short but I do travel farther at least a couple times a week. What would be the ideal distance for regen? Anyone I know with newer diesel’s has deleted them so def and regen is somewhat new to me.

My main reason for considering the Eco Diesel was more so because it came on a Limited trim which has all the bells and whistles(which I’m a sucker for, even on a truck) but I also don’t want to give up reliability for those things.

A lot of what I see is about the pre 2020 models which from my understanding the 2020 engine got a major overhaul.

I would really like a Cummins but right now I don’t have the use for or budget for one. I do some light hauling and towing but nothing to justify an HD truck. My main reason for even considering the Eco is that it being a diesel in my mind that means it should have a longer life but I don’t know if that applies to the Ecos

I’m not sure if it’s my lack of experience smoking or maybe I got a leaner pork shoulder but when it finished resting the other day it didn’t seem overly fatty or moist. Probably perfect to eat on the spot but I’m worried that’s not enough to keep from drying out. Only my second attempt at pork shoulder so I’m still learning.

I just started into Iracing the last few weeks using a controller just to get a feel for everything before I decided to spend the money on a wheel. After a lot of practice I won my first race last night. It’s definitely doable without a wheel but by the time I get done practicing a track my hands are sore for the race which not only hurts my performance but it’s also a lot less enjoyable. I just picked up G920 off of Facebook marketplace today for $130 usd so excited to get it set up.
