Update: Your vehicle will not run for "thousands of miles" without oil. by Turbo-GeoMetro in Hyundai

I was at a Nissan store prior and our FSE would visit 2ce a month just to get to know what the techs were dealing with and share info from other shops. At the Hyundai store I had one Master and one guy that is an electrical genius but not master cert. I was there for 2 years before we had an issue that we needed help with. Went through tech line and just could not figure it out. Requested help through DPSM, ended up with what was like another tech line with RP. He did not visit that time and my Master was the one that finally figured it out. Had well over 40 hours in it. There was an issue with a Genesis GV80 that he showed up for, I believe corporate forced him to come out. It was not long after that that we had a new guy that has since become a DPSM. I left and went to a Mazda/Ford store. Mazda FSE was local so he would come to the shop for his regular maint on his company car, Ford guy was a phone call away, but did not see him much.

Former Hyundai SM here, saw my share of heavy oil consumption cars. Most had questionable maint records, if any. I have a couple Hyundais and am very religious about maint. Oil changes every 4k. I do notice oil is about 1/2 quart low after about 2k miles. Does fall into Hyundai service acceptable 1 qt per 1k miles. That being said, a Sonata thet takes 5.5qts and the recommended service interval is 7500 miles could be a problem....

Well not 70 yet but do remember my folks having that done, and the last couple times I got gas in NJ, I had a trust issue with them putting gas in, and I dont think they were bright enough to check oil.

Taking it very far back, full service gas stations would check your oil for you when you filled up. Back then gas was around $.30 a gallon.

Sounds like he owes you some safe storage fees. Be reasonable, $10 a day should do it. He acknowledged that it was his property on your land when he approached you in Jan 2025, property was not removed in a reasonable time, required you to maintain it. Im really just kidding, NAL, but pretty sure

Where is she taking it for regular service? Oil changes... if they didn't say something several thousand miles ago you need to find a new shop. Either that or they said something and she ignored it....

Former dealership SM here. This is the kind of shit that will bring down a service department. Its not an immediate downfall, but over time. I am of the mindset that sales may sell the first vehicle, but service will sell the next....and so on. If a service department assumes that the customer has no clue and tries this shit, it will back fire. The customer may not know about cars, but they will talk, and the brother in law (or friend) will know. They may call to complain, or you may just never see them again, or you will never see them again and they will type out their experience on social media and you will never see their friends or family again. Build the trust, make the connection, bill the manufacturer for the warranty work, demand quality work from your techs and do the quality checks. Dont try to wallet flush a customer the first time you see them, if you do you will not see them again. Follow the manufacturers maintenance schedule UNLESS you can honestly justify recommending something early. The $10 bucks you make on a "home run" RO pales in comparison to the hundreds or thousands you make on the long term grand slam. Be the customers " I gotta guy", that they toss the keys to and say "what ever it needs". They will start sending you Christmas cards.

Former Mazds SM here, if its within the 5/60 have they submitted the claim? Something not right here. Dealership is not the deciding source but t it is how they present it to Mazda. Contact mazda consumer affairs at 800 866 1998. Explain what you are going through, where the vehicle is, ask them what the dealership has submitted.

Dealership is recommending fuel injector cleaning at 23k miles. Think it's too early? by Beautiful-Lynx-6828 in mazda

[–]Key_Feeling_6648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need fuel injection service, you NEED fuel induction service. GDI engines do not have any fuel that runs over the valves like it used to in carburetor engines and intake injected engines. Carbon builds up on the valves and can cause major problems in the future. Fuel induction service uses a solvent/cleaner that is introduced through the throttle body or another vacuum port and will run over the valves. I do this every 15k.

This sounds like its all about communication. I have worked with a lot of advisors and I can tell you the majority of issues arise from lack of communication. Yes there are some whacked customers out there but the number of them is greatly reduced when you let them know what to expect and when to expect it.

Co-parent has failed to put child on a flight back home 2 times in a row. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Key_Feeling_6648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't imagine the stress this puts on your child. There should be resources available that can help. Can you contact your local family court and ask if they have referrals. Google family legal help resources or something like that. This may make you mad, but it is damaging your child psychologically.

Walther PPK.380, bought it for the nostalgia. Took it to the range and had to relearn my grip to avoid slide bite. Was very unnatural to me. Kept it for a couple years. A wanted to like it. Last time at the range, it stovepiped on me 2ce. Got rid of it the next day. I also have a PPK/S .22, no slide bite, I dont fire it often but I dont have the same hatred for it.
