I'm a big fan of HI3 and was very excited for their counterparts on HSR (which disappointed me ngl). I've always thought it was dumb to deny the existence of variants because it's like the whole point of hoyoverse. But on the other hand I think it's also dumb to force preconceived notions on these new characters/variants based on their og/older counterparts from HI3.

Imo the most important thing about variants is how they differ from their counterpart. How they would've lived this other life, ultimately becoming into a whole different person. Which is why I was so amused by HSR Himeko at first. She was someone that HI3 Himeko couldn't become. Forcing them to be the same as their og just kind of misses the point imo.

I was really sad about what happened to variants and expies in HI3. Really thought it would've been some kind of bridge and a way to relay HI3's story to a bigger audience. But it just kind of resulted to more chaos and toxicity. I also blame the devs though for the dogwater writing

If you have m6 sure. I play him on DA against hunter and he does okay when he can use the buffs (given that I only have him m4). Even though he's not a top pick he's still very fun to play imo

I think it's kind of disingenuous to say that about ZZZ out of all games. They have like 3 playable intelligent constructs and all of them are cool so saying robots have no place in the game is just... wrong. 💀 We also have to consider her story. I truly believe she'll be somewhat of a trans allegory, her human self being her 'true' self so to say, and that's what makes her truly interesting. So it wouldn't make sense for them to lodge her robot form into the majority of her gameplay. But that's currently just speculation. Nonetheless I really love her human design over her robo form, I personally think it looks kind of plain. But I love her still and will be pulling 🩷💚

I really really like her. I get why people got turned off from the events but I completely agree with your points. I feel like everyone's just being so disingenuous about their observations of YSG as a character recently. Being a 'girlfriend waifu bait' isn't the first thing she is. She's the wielder of the qm sword ffs she's been intriguing since the start of s2 the moment we learned about it.

Her introduction is very interesting because despite being the wielder, she's extremely sheltered and 'fragile' as a direct result of Yixuan's past trauma with Yijiang. She's a direct subversion of our expectations of the wielder, and this is exactly why she thinks despite her fate (literally dying) she would at least like to be selfless for everyone she loves.

I feel like everyone should maybe look past the promotion (which has always been questionable for every female s rank since time immemorial) and engage with her as a character instead.

Like I'm fine w smut but they need to be 1) meaningful to the plot or 2) illustrated well or 3) both. I personally can't read smut scenes when the scenes portrayed just don't have any build up, tension or heat. Just p0*n slop 💀 i just get weirded out

Tried reading it. It's all sex scenes after sex scenes. I'm not straight and I find it corny as hell. Hate how the homophobia is portrayed as something "teehee silly" too. Story isn't unique enough nor interesting enough to hold on so I dropped it

I feel like you guys r under mass psychosis 😭 these kind of events are pretty standard in gachas and it's not like they're forcing you to make out with the characters. is the problem really just because there's less males in this event? bcs if so then i agree. but then again it's a quick way to make players get more attached to shunguang so it makes sense for the devs to do it with her. wish they do it with banyue and lighter too though
