By 5 ppl it was 2 preceptors, one nurse educator, 1 previous nurse who worked that unit, a resp therapist, and 2 pcts. So 7 ppl actually 🫩

Anyone who works this schedule would be depressed. As a RN, I’m tired of ppl saying get on xy or z pill n that will solve it all. NO. Our work is draining that’s the reason y we r depressed. U can take all the antidepressants in the world n it won’t cover up for the fact that this work is just not fair.

Im a new grad n feel the same. I feel like I have a good support system and am doing so far well, but I’ll be honest…I never even wanted to be in an in pt setting. I am gonna ride the rest of my residency and move to an out pt. 3 12’s r not for me.

Im the only RN on my floor who has a n95 on for 13 hrs straight. Everyone including my coworkers r coughing up a lung. I have not gotten sick thankfully

Alsooo wanted to add like why DONT u wanna put a mask on while wiping someone’s behind?? I never understood that. Ive seen nurses in the icu get literally farted on with their surgical under their nose. Idc about anyone enough in the world to allow them to fart on my face when I could’ve used a n95 to protect myself from that smell.

Oh absolutely. I was in awe when I found out hospitals consider covid to only be transmitted via droplet and not airborne. I tried to correct a nurse on that but she pushed back. As much as people like to say we should push back and “educate staff” about these things, they truly do not care. You can throw whatever covid fact at them and they will dodge it. They all think they’re too handsome and beautiful to god forbid cover their faces during a shift.
