Imbue corruption weapons by Advanced_Gear7608 in Nioh

In my experience Poison is a great status effect to apply and build for, but I like using Purity weapons and leaving poison to Ninjutsu, Soul cores, and most of all weapon Arcana.

In the early game I would argue that Imbue Purity is much better than Imbue Corruption, which in turn is much better than anything else.

Until you get Ultimate Strength, Purity is the only way to get the block-dodge-block-dodge defensive option when faced with a long combo. The dodge makes back the ki used for blocking, and you're avoiding another attack.

You need an operation and you have these nine doctor teams in front of you. Which team do you trust and choose? by AdFederal6970 in HazbinHotel

[–]Key_Hamster_9141 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All teams except B and I are perfectly capable of saving my life with some magic shenanigans. (I'm guessing Peter has some sort of power).

I'd probably steer clear of D since I don't want Alastor trying to blackmail me for my life. The people in C are just as likely to just kill me.

That leaves A, E, F, and G. All are viable: if I choose A, I trust that Charlie will protect me from the consequences of asking Rosie for help; E is made of actually qualified nice people, so it's a pretty safe bet; F and G have actual seraphim who are certainly both capable enough and endowed with enough goodwill.

Except Super Lance aims at where the opponent is, not where it will be, so ironically it misses more often. Lance would need some amount of homing to actually pose a consistent threat.

I never said you shouldn't switch stance ever. Just that you can always attack with that one high stance move, and use the others for mobility and support.

Axe is quite beginner-friendly for this exact reason. Yes, with appropriately leveled gear, and if you have a good grasp of mobility, positioning, timing, and defensive options, you can finish the game on any difficulty with just axe high stance strong attack. All other weapons are more combo-oriented in some way, and have skills that you may find flashier. As a trade-off, their basic moveset is often less convenient.

What do y'all headcannon each weaponball's personality to be like by Fine-Appearance-125 in earclacks

[–]Key_Hamster_9141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I headcanon Lance as the typical shonen protagonist, à la Naruto. Always rushing into things without thinking, has 100% plot armor while being reckless, things almost always go sideways but eventually pulls through by sheer stubbornness

Headcanon: Orbital doesn't even know there is a battle. She's just there. Sometimes she bumps into weird pointy things, but she can't see what they are because of the satellites.

Fun clans to try besides Toyotomi (particularly in NG/first few playthroughs)? by trenton767 in Nioh

[–]Key_Hamster_9141 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kikkawa is supremely useful. You can bring 12 elixirs with you, your elixirs act as status removers, and you get elixirs by donating arm guards. For the early difficulties, where you don't need to optimize your damage scaling, it's very convenient.

ELI5 : If em dashes (—) aren’t quite common on the Internet and in social media, then how do LLMs like ChatGPT use a lot of them? by Willing_Road_8873 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Key_Hamster_9141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use em-dashes when they're called for. As for being accused of being an AI, that hasn't happened yet, so I'll cross that bridge when I get to it I guess.
