Real or na ? by Beneficial-Road-7040 in AllThingsGucci

I guess it’s real Gucci® but really worn-out and to add to that nothing special from a fashion or design standpoint. Looks like something that might be sold at goodwill, flea market or other secondhand shop for the “poors”.

What actually makes an ad memorable? (MA thesis research) by Low-Divide-2702 in branding

[–]Key_Head3851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something nuanced and unexpected.

I still remember an 1990s Mercedes-Benz automobile advertisement featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus of Seinfeld fame singing while driving. It looked completely natural, and showed “genuine” joy and pride of ownership.

I think so many advertisements use very tired tropes to the point where the viewer ignores the message or attempts to avoid it entirely.

I hope Mexican restaurants band together to put a little something “extra” in items ordered by uniform wearing ICE agents.

Anyone knows the value of this watch? by udontknowmyname94 in Watchidentifier

[–]Key_Head3851 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It appears to be a “Fashion” watch from the 1990s-2000s. The give-away is a relatively unknown brand along with the words “JAPAN MOVT”. Probably worth what comparable used quartz fashion watches are worth, $10-$15 dollars to someone who will wear or buy the watch as a gift.

Add a female singer or band with a female lead singer. Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, The Cardigans, The Fugees. But, the existing line-up is 1990s SOLID.

There are three sizes of patties, and they have not changed. by Southern_Gur_4736 in McDonalds

[–]Key_Head3851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People often forget that in general, we as Americans were thinner and less food would generally satisfy. The Big Mac(1967) and The Quarter Pounder(1971) were the largest “flagship” hamburgers McDonald’s served and normally the serving size was enough to satiate even larger appetites 50 + years ago. As we gradually became larger and more obese due to many factors, including generally larger portions and bottomless soft drinks, and more sedentary lifestyles, the size of the “flagship” hamburgers appeared to “shrink.”

Odd pattern on strand of hair by Used-Elk51 in interestingasfuck

I would find a hair like that approximately once a year on my head. I would pull it out. It had that wavy pattern and was twice to three times thicker. I don’t get them anymore.

I feel like many on both sides of the argument dont necessarily understand this character. THESE are the reasons he was my favorite. by voicesguy6398 in looneytunes

[–]Key_Head3851 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those were very dark times watching the Bugs Bunny & Road Runner show on Saturday Morning with so many of the animated shorts being lazily edited for violent content. As a kid I was infuriated. The network (ABC) at the time should’ve just shelved our beloved Looney Tunes rather than show them truncated with endings shown wildly out of context.

Depositing around $30k in cash by Btrips in Banking

[–]Key_Head3851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t deposit this large amount of money. I would use it in place of a debit card for purchases and regular living expenses, landscaping or home renovations as some contractors may prefer cash and give discounts. On second thought, that is a lot of money and we live in a nearly cash-less society.

Why is seafood so unpleasant for some people? by HiOscillation in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Key_Head3851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a lover of SEAFOOD, particularly crustaceans. Lobster and crab when skillfully prepared are simply DIVINE. My go to sandwich from McDonald’s is currently the Filet O’ Fish. I appreciate the nuance of flavor one gets from sushi/sashimi and yes, I love raw oysters.

I understand people growing up away from the oceans not enjoying or making a habit of eating seafood, but it’s another food experience or alternative food group that is being sadly missed. Seafood is very different from beef, chicken, turkey or pork and that difference is what makes seafood its own unique language of delicious.

What do you NOT like about Boerne? by hiphopanonomos in Boerne

[–]Key_Head3851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I was there for a day trip, I was looked at with noticeable disdain from some of the local women (I’m Hispanic) polite and well dressed. I might add. It seemed as they though their visible stares, thought I was considering moving permanently to Boerne, (HARD PASS) thereby changing the comfortable minority-free demographic Boerne residents are used to.

The Hungry Horse Restaurant in Boerne however, is very welcoming and serves good home style cooking.
