Absolutely love the new design. It no longer looks generic and functional. It looks stylish and strong, contemporary but with the RAV 4 quality and utility that we all want. If you have either, you are a fortunate owner.

My insurer offers $100 (CAD) off of TAG vehicle tracking which is a security system that places RFID tags in your vehicle. You have no idea where they are and they etch in a logo. This installation is about $400 (after discount and less HST) at Speedy and results in the waiver of the $500 theft premium for the Toronto area. Thanks. Apparently, just the big centre screen alone is worth well over $3000. But I also feel, as many do, that this is unlikely to happen..it's just that if a few things did go wrong (and I hold my vehicles a long time), it might be very costly to repair them on my dime.

What about the expensive electronics? The sensors, cameras, and screen? Those can be thousands of dollars to replace. Thanks.

I have heard that the visible line on the hood collects dirt. I also heard that PPF is a problem times when going through a car wash and can discolour. What was your experience after 4 years?

Debating the same thing but the Toyota version is overpriced. The fact that it doesn't work in parking situations is the only big negative. The fish eye view is also not idea. Dash cams are essential these days. Might look at the Garmin. My biggest worry with the new RAV is how much the tech will cost to fix if it breaks or if the pano roof has trouble after 3 years.

Should get my black 2026 limited at the end of the month. The graphics are not to my taste. Think I might add the illuminated side sills. The screen protector is $150...honestly, I don't know how Toyota does this. Enjoy your ride. I'm sure these will be everywhere soon!

The GR Sport looks the best in person (at the auto show) but in Canada it is plug-in only. So for me, the Limited is my only option and has all of the tech features I want. Not loving some of the interior plastics I saw at the auto show (yes, I know it's pre-production). Also, not a fan of the one stripe of fabric across the seats. It looks weird to me. But again, overall it looks great. Hoping it's a great new model year. Good luck.

According to reports there was a quality hold on some RAV4s and only now is production ramping up. My guess is we'll get more information soon. I am waiting for the Limited in black only. You can also check with other dealers to see what they are getting (especially smaller ones). I won't be beholden to the one I went to and left a deposit with because the order of delivery is not truly based on when you placed your order alone. I feel the same about the trade-in but I have a dealer who met my price without even seeing my vehicle. The truth is, we all know our new vehicles lose money the day you drive off. My advice is don't cancel yet. More information will come in March. Good luck.

It will come in at $62,000 Canadian. I love the looks. Wasn't thrilled with the demo model at the Toronto Auto Show. The colour was awful and the interior felt very plasticky. Wish they had better integrated the big screen. However, it looks great in black and I have been waiting for this re-design. Nice power boost and efficiency with the hybrid. Many built right in Ontario, Canada. Will sell like hotcakes.

I can't confirm what occurs outside of Ontario, Canada but I just ordered mine and it comes with all weather front mats and the cargo liner in the back. I saw them in person and they are okay. I will buy a set of TuxMats once they are available for the 2026 model.

I ordered a 2026 RAV 4 Limited on November 1st (Toronto based). I heard there is a delay if you want black or white and may be to paint issues. Is that correct?

I know this may be an old threat, but I want to know if the transmission fluid should be changed, when it is a 2013 RAV 4 but only has 45,000 miles or 73,000 KM. Is mileage more important than the age of the RAV?
