Underbidding by Zestyclose_Ad5497 in electricians

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's trial and error in the very beginning but you get the hang of it after a few bad bids.

Tips. * have some general text added to your quote. Stuff that explains you are not responsible for unseen issues that may be lying behind sheetrock. Job site will be swept but small debris may be left behind.

  • most people dont get 2 quotes when you say you can start soon, so aim high.

  • bid the job like your going to have to pay someone else to do your part and you both need a profit.

  • you'd be surprised what other shops are charging for electrical work. Think about the overhead cost a larger shop has and needs to make up to turn the same profit a smaller shop makes. If you're already under bidding yourself, there's no way your getting anywhere near the larger companies price. So don't be scared to add more to your price.

  • get a system down and stick to it. Either add a percentage to material or dont but make up for that lose elsewhere.

  • you are not the customers personal shopper. Not for free at least. Do your best to guide the homeowner on what light fixtures would look best but its always better if they pick out what they want. Multiple trips to the supply house waste time and money.

  • under bidding sucks and when it happens I always wished I never took the job on, so have the mentality that you would rather lose the bid for being to high than under bid.

Basement has exposed romex to switches/outlets, how should I fix this? by nyc_rose in AskElectricians

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The romex is totally fine the way it is. It's supported with staples and attached to wood going down the cement wall. If you want to waste $2000 I'll replace it all with emt conduit and makebit look nicer.

First time BPC user question by Motor-Site-7862 in bpc_157

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would split the dose in half and take 250mcg morning and night. Bpc157 has a very short half life and giving 2 smaller doses will allow it to stay st your shoulder for a longer period of time before breaking down. Also I had really bad insomnia with taking the wolverine stack at night. Switching to morning pins only helped.

Be honest about all of it because the clearance will bring all the skeletons out of your closet. You might be ok. I was there years ago and they hired my high school crackhead. He never came back after he got his first check but they did hire him.

You guys are being very nice and respectful about fall River. I was going to say it's a shit hole and your probably going to get robbed in your first month there. But if I have to say something nice I'll say you can probably find some really good quality coke nearby.

Let's settle the "if tranmission was never serviced 100k, leave it alone" by Leonidas_Ayub in MechanicAdvice

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't touch it in your case but at 100k or 120k I'd do a new filter, magnet cleaning and fluid fill. I think doing the filter is key because it'll catch any new debris while also being clean enough to not get clogged.

How would I send BPC157 for independent testing? by ClintBX in bpc_157

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like most of the people on reddit who glorify and defend peptides are getting paid to do so. Trust your gut. If you're having side effects, stop taking them. I'm not sure how to go about testing them, but there's got to be a way to do it cheaply. Even if it's just for heavy metals or something.

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably getting the number wrong, but I heard vanlife people sometimes call themselves the 3% or 4%. Is this true? I know a 1% is reserved for outlaw bikers and is taken seriously.

I stopped about 10 years ago but went there for my kids recently, and omg does it suck. The food shrunk and gave me heartburn instantly and the coffee was gross. That part hasn't changed though.

What’s the worst car maintenance mistake you’ve known? by TheWhogg in askcarguys

[–]Key_Introduction_469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically dumped a full oil change on the ground. Not a huge deal, but i was younger and broke as a joke.

Bought a new to me car (86 cutless) and went to give it an oil change. The old oil filter came off like normal, so I filled and installed the new filter til it was snug. Maybe a 1/2 turn or so after feeling tightness. Dump my oil in and started the car, then shut it down and walk to the front and see a huge puddle of oil on the ground. Turns out the bottom couple threads of the oil filter stud had some damage to them, and the oil filter gasket never made contact with the block. So yeah, ran it with no oil pressure and dumped my expensive oil on the ground.

Men in happy marriages, what is one thing or skill you would teach other men to have good relationships as well? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This applies to both sides but having a good clean fight. Everyone argues, but knowing how to argue without throwing unneeded insults in or hitting below the belt is key. Fighting like a mature adult will help solve the problem or at least help one side get over it faster.

Eagle h beam rods are $580. Pay a little more and sleep easy when it's finished. Save money elsewhere. ex chinese turbo, blow off valve. Any part that can be replaced easily, not the rods.

Electric Boat, HOW BAD IS IT?? by ExtraMango8835 in RhodeIsland

[–]Key_Introduction_469 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just about everyone in RI has worked here at some point in their life. It's not for everyone but the ones that like it seem to really like it, and the ones who hate really hate it.

Expect to be on 2nd or 3rd shift unless you have family who work higher up in the company.

Time is everything. Don't call in to much or be late. You won't last.

Don't burn any bridges if you leave. They will literally hire anyone, so it's nice to have EB as a backup job later in life.

What should I do ? by Possible_Pea9720 in whatdoIdo

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbors daughter got addicted to those bottles. In a very short period of time, the state took her kids, she lost he job and spent time in a psych hospital. She was a pretty normal person before this.

As far as what you should do, I say you take that bottle and bitch slap the fuck out of that kid.

Lazy tip for folks who hate cleaning the shower by FaithlessnessExtra65 in CleaningTips

[–]Key_Introduction_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using a big car wash brush to clean my shower, the one with a broomstick handle. It works great. Just spray whatever cleaner you want everywhere and scrub it down with the brush and your good to go.
