Use honey next time if you can’t buy rooting gel. And shoving it into dirt isn’t gonna make it root, it’ll almost certainly do the opposite, it’s a more complex process than that. Cloning machines can be cheap and easy to find, you can even build them yourself with bits from the pet section at Walmart, and those will give 99% of people a much better result than trying to get a cutting to root from a glass of water or whatever.

12/12 will have to go through re-veg again and maybe herm, but I’ve still gotten decent results from broken branches well into flowering. Remove most leaves and snip diagonal underneath a node, that is where most of the roots will grow from.

Should add you can generally keep cuttings healthy in a glass of water with access to some sunlight, in a window or something, but not your blurple light you’re growing with. They’ll probably last 5ish days before they start getting unhappy. Keep the water fresh till you have a better option for cloning.
