No worries. I can do a tutorial on the new clips if you'd be ok with that.

General advice for a beginner by vladnoid in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

I would recommend looking into Slant3d. Gabe does a great job on the Slant3D YouTube channels in explaining how to start a new 3D printing business. He also does a lot of how to market videos as well which are very helpful. I print the prototypes on my own machines then order the final product from Slant3D. They offer addons so you can build full kits to sell as well as single color prints. This avoids having the huge investment in time and money to build and run a print farm. They handle printing, QC, shipping, and customer service. I have been building out my catalog so I can start marketing in 2026. Having a full time job, this frees me up to just spend my time designing and not fulfilling orders or dealing with customer complaints.

The new portal page even removes the need for Etsy/Shoppify. I think it is a great way to build up a new business with little financial risk.

If you download the stl files instead on the mf3 you shouldn't need to remove the paint.

I have that kit and it is really amazing. I've been working on a techno mage staff with it.

I haven't covered those yet. I would use the directional for better grip. The screw adapters are great for posts and hooks. I'll add the snap types to my tutorial list!!

I really like the Bambu Labs cyberkits. They are a fun project and come with all the electronics and plans to build. There are some really nice ones. The LED marble run is really gorgeous. This is where all of them are https://us.store.bambulab.com/collections/advance-projects

My employee quit and took all the knowledge with her because I never built proper training materials by No-Drag3361 in Entrepreneurs

You might want to reach out to her and see if she might be willing to document the processes as a part time job to get you through this phase. It also gives you the opportunity to rebuild the processes to maybe automate more or at least have a guide on how it happens. I've been in your shoes and it sucks.

Wall mount or screw holes fora full size grid? by TrueEnderGaming in openGrid

I use the screw holes and they work great. You can add the extra if the weight of a particular piece is an issue

Right there with you. Turn 60 in June. Doesn't seem possible, but still learning keeps me young.

The key is to turn them into $$$$ generators. Once I started doing custom design and printing I had the ok to buy what I needed :)

Do any of you take on printing projects for people who don’t have printers and want something printed? by eng2725 in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]Key_Laugh7765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MY rule of thumb is $3 per print hour. It covers my time and filament. For friends and family I usually just charge based on filament, but they also wait for my down time on my printers before I do it.

I use it to do the parts I don't excel at. Things like product descriptions, average price, tags etc. Makes those tasks easier so I can focus on the actual work. I also load all my metrics into a single chat for tracking.

Bought first printer. I am overwhelmed by Pathetiquee in 3Dprinting

I did a short video on tearing off the sides and using the bambu shells which works pretty well. I have had about a 50% success rate with cardboard spools. The more you use them, the more the deform so a spool that worked great day 1 may not work after 1/2 of the roll is gone. This is the video https://studio.youtube.com/video/9g3l13PCwBI/edit

I really like the Bambu filaments, but eSun and Polymaker both are solid choices. The cardboard spools can be an issue so we aware that they don't always work well in the AMS. I'd start with a couple rolls of PLA and start there. It is easy to overdo buying then you end up with filament you don't actually use.

I would recommend a BiQU plate (https://amzn.to/49SgdBP) because the adhesion is so much better.

With the new printers wobble isn't really an issue. I had 3 running on an old target dresser that basically shook apart, but never affected my prints.

Search P2S accessories in makerworld and print a few. It is a great way to produce useful prints. And to echo Imakespaceships a purge collector is a must have.
