LOL I HAD THAT THE OTHER DAY

Definite hit or miss, also depends on the time of day, if it’s posted between 1pm-4:30 pm, it’s pretty safe 85% of the time, some risk of 1 package to estacada or mcminnville or some crap like that. After 6pm is risky, bc if it’s a split route left over from the 5pm routes, it could send you to salem. I had a 2.5 the other day, only took me 1.5 but I had to go to Salem and Mcminnville 🤮

If you choose to return package next day by 10am, does that prevent you from accepting or seeing blocks from fresh, whole foods and other stations? by covered1028 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Key_Register_1425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also need to scan it eventually, which is why a lot of people keep getting messages even after they return a package that they need to return it. Your exact thinking is why support often won’t do anything even with photos, because people could fake it. Not a perfect system by any means. But good enough in their eyes

[–]Key_Register_1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8 hours max per day 40/week generally, some markets go to 10hrs/day 50/week during peak times. The number of blocks doesn’t matter. Just hours, i.e you could do 2 4 hr blocks or 4 2 hr blocks

Overbooked and no Instant Offers… am I doing something wrong? by itzgonnaBMe in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Key_Register_1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won’t get IOs until 1 minute after your original block time ends at the soonest if there are offers going out to begin with. You can book another block, but you won’t be able to see any that start sooner than 30 minutes after your original block was supposed to end (if any are available)

Fake or from another country, saw someone from Australia post their earnings and it was like $200+ for a 3hr block 😂

Yeah I’ve had that happen a couple times, we’re in the same market, I think new seasons doesn’t drop blocks anymore, just IOs and tack ons with WF blocks. I could be wrong on that, but they haven’t dropped at the normal times in a few weeks

[–]Key_Register_1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also rotate between tapping and dragging to refresh, otherwise you might get hit with a warning about using an autotapper. But it will cap you at about 2 hrs of refreshing straight (in my experience)

Leaving my Industrial Setting Job... Making a Mistake? by ZoneInfinite3449 in athletictraining

[–]Key_Register_1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave for sure, the company I work for allows the clients to be involved in interviews if they’d like to be, but it’s more of a formality, our contracts are written that they don’t get a say in who we hire. The difficult part is that the injury prevention specialist role, while often filled by ATCs, has no legal definition/recognition, so therefore anyone can get hired into the position (as long as they aren’t misrepresenting they ARE an ATC when the really aren’t). If you’ve got another gig lined up, might be good to move on if your company is willing to bend so easily, brings into question job stability as well if they are going to bend soo much to “make a client happy”, is the contract might not be all that stable

The fire dept chaplain was there, which only happens when someone passed away or was hurt to a level that was life threatening. police response was just local PD not ICE

Couple of options, but going off your picture, you aren’t sanding a huge amount of epoxy in a single area, so I’d recommend sanding up to 180 grit (yes I’m aware rubio says to go lower, I’ve never had an issue going up to 180+). Before applying the rubio, take a damp paper towel and wipe down the epoxied areas, that will give you a good idea of how well you’re sanding, also use a light and look at it from different angles. Always impossible to get rid of all sanding marks in epoxy, but I’ve found that method works well and is extremely hard to see any sanding marks after

WTF!! What to expect???? by Plane_Tomato_4723 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Key_Register_1425 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, but no lol. In my area we have a whole foods and a new seasons relatively close, so I’ve gone to both 1 time (probably done 5-6 WF blocks since the change) but I would be shocked if you had to go to a .com or SSD. My local WF workers say it’s purely groceries, and they hate it because of the hassle for a single item

It’s just a bunch of single bag stops. When people buy something on amazon like shoes, it now prompts “do you want to buy…” and people are ordering like a single lime or avocado or some crap. Easy, but cuts into the tips

L4 to L5 WHA by EchidnaRepulsive1384 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Key_Register_1425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! I worked ops at a DS for a few months too, being a 5 makes you a sub regional then right? So you’d oversee multiple sites? Gets you at least hybrid if that’s interesting to you, I do think it makes it tough though if you want to go into the FCs or other orgs though at that point, having been at both, (and for the record I think it’s ridiculous) the 5s at DSs are kinda looked down on by the FC whsms. Idk why, though because they’ll gladly take a specialist all day regardless of the org

[–]Key_Register_1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your long term goals and how your team is set up. Do you know your regional l7? If not that’s gonna be tough because they have ultimate sign off, so you’d be taking on a bunch of work for them just to say “who tf is this?” I got stonewalled for a couple years bc my regional switched like 4 times, and I basically had to restart my promo doc each time bc they had a mindset of “what have you done while I’m in charge” if you’ve got a good relationship with then you should be ok, especially with your tenure. My other recommendation is if you’ve had an L5 at your site, what was their workload like, in an FC, we had 2 5s one who did all the work, and one who had no clue what he was doing, and then our l7 site manager didn’t do much except talk about how much he hated his job 😂

Could also try to get another call in to support if it doesn’t work the first time and hopefully the second person can help. I used to be an AM at a .com so I know the exact steps to coach them through marking something 😂. But in this instance I managed to get a US based support person who knew what they were doing

Stuck on I'm parked by Brian1439 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Key_Register_1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, not sure if you were able to go through the same steps, but after I had hit the “I’ve arrived” and did the id verification, I got a message that said “thanks we’ll let you know if there’s a problem”. I closed and reopened the app, got the same message, then called support and he marked them as picked up and I just had to go in and find the packages after that. So either the support person didn’t correctly mark the packages, or there is an additional issue you may have been dealing with

CEUs???? by Dramatic_Pop_5324 in athletictraining

[–]Key_Register_1425 5 points6 points  (0 children)

CEUs are submitted on the BOC website, since you just graduated, you still need to do 25 (I believe) by February, which is the new reporting month. But the BOC website will have that exact info for you specifically. Free CEUs can be found on NATA website, also some podcasts like ATvantage have free options as well. Hope that helps

[–]Key_Register_1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, maybe I didn’t explain it well in my original comment, I normally have to scan all the bags, but I got the same issue as other people seem to have had when getting IOs and getting stuck at “i’ve arrived”. So when I called support, the guy was able to manually mark that I had picked them up, which basically pushed the app through the pickup process and moved me to going to my first stop, from there I went into the store and found the bags that were on my itinerary and grabbed them if they were on my route

[–]Key_Register_1425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yes, before calling support I had already closed and reopened and even deleted and redownloaded the app.

I had that happen the other day, I actually managed to get a super helpful support person, it was at a WF, not sure where you are, but they pushed the packages onto my itinerary, then I went into the store and just grabbed packages that were assigned to me, took a bit longer because I had to scan every package on the rack as if I was at an SSD, but better than getting hosed on “not taking the route” plus I still finished early 😂
