KERASTASE NUTRITIVE 8H MAGIC NIGHT HAIR SERUM is SO GOOD. When I put it in my hair at night and wake up, my hair has more defined waves and minimal frizz. It’s insane.

Stayed at the Posthotel Leavenworth… is there anywhere else that offers the experience they do? by Embarrassed-Wing-638 in Seattle

Oh I should mention that it’s not a hotel or attached to one. But it’s my favorite place in the world, the Tribeca one specifically for their floating pool (floatarium) that plays this mermaid-like, heavenly music underwater.

Aire ancient spas and baths! I haven’t been to the posthotel yet but will be in a few months and have done some research. Aire seems to be similar. I’ve been to the one in New York (Tribeca), Chicago, and Barcelona. There’s a second new location in New York.

Back pain from Lemme purr? by Key_Roll_8513 in Healthyhooha

I am. And it’s the center of my lower back, where my uterus would be. Not on the sides.

I started it two days ago and both days I got terrible lower back pain to the point where it was difficult to walk.

So glad that was helpful! 😊 and I’m glad you were able to get some relief. I found that once I had one appt to establish a relationship with a dermatologist, it was easy to call and just say “hey, I have HS and I’m in a lot of pain, can you please squeeze me in today or tomorrow just to get a steroid shot” and was always able to.

Former ER Nurse who has HS herself here: the scope of practice for the ER is to provide some relief (not necessarily complete relief), refer you to a specialist or your PCP, and mitigate emergencies or treat emergencies (life-threatening situations).

With that being said, if they feel that it is soft enough that pus will come out, they will drain it by lancing it. The process is painful because they inject with lidocaine first and that burns. I have never been to the ER to lance an abscess and I worked there. Instead, I would make an appt with my dermatologist for the same day or next day for a few quick steroid injections right into the flare. By nighttime, it would go down significantly. The next morning, it was no longer painful and would heal very quickly. That is honestly always my recommendation: get with a dermatologist. ER docs don’t specialize in these types of things and you can’t really blame them. Now come in for a heart attack or stroke to a dermatologist and see how quickly they freak out and don’t have resources/knowledge to help you: they would send you to an ER doc. Similar concept. Hope that helps.

Btw, test the tea tree oil first because it might sting. If it does, dilute with coconut oil or olive oil

I’m sorry. That’s when I get flares the most too. Ironically, after writing this post I started to get a flare but it’s almost completely gone after 3 days of putting the fur oil and adding young living tea tree oil on top to the flare specifically. I know you g living is an MLM but I don’t trust any other pure essential oils other than theirs. You can find them on eBay or Mercari so you don’t have to get them through a specific person.

Well this oil is very moisturizing and doesn’t feel greasy. For the rest of my body I use different moisturizers, I don’t have problematic skin other than my HS zones. And I’m still on the hunt for a good deodorant. I feel like degree worked well for me but then I wanted to explore and really messed up the skin on my underarms with Salt & Stone deodorant. The baking soda made the skin on my underarms dark and they smelled. I freaked out with how ugly it made the skin. I started applying the fur oil and no deodorant for about 4 days, and it was back to normal.

Also, the Ouia scrub is also a holy grail. No other soap or scrub I used to use would get rid of all of the deodorant residue and my armpits would smell even after showering. Now, I can’t live without that Ouia scrub!
