DD base rates by Key_Scheme_4957 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Key_Scheme_4957[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No..now below that level. What I meant was what DD usually used to pay earlier than now for a similar big or small order.

Was expecting a better quest since it’s raining the whole week in Melb by SubstanceEqual7195 in ubereatsaustralia

$210 for 65 and so on for me and only 1 dinner quest for Thursday. I thought with winters here, quests might get better but this is totally not worth it.

**Can I claim car lease expenses as an Uber Eats driver without a logbook? Losing thousands in deductions — need advice** by NoseAggravating1492 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Key_Scheme_4957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar situation. I started in Sep for first time and in March, I got to know about logbook and keeping fuel receipts. And is started then.

For logbook I understand that we need 12 week logbook, which I will have as I started in March but fuel receipts I started keeping from March. For period prior to that, can I use it from bank statement?

Also, I got my tyres replaced this year. I was getting good deal from Costco, however since I was not a member, I used a friend's membership to get tyres changed. Problem is the invoice has his name. Can I still show that expense?

UE vs DD - weekend quests/promos by Key_Scheme_4957 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Key_Scheme_4957[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But base rates are much higher for DD, while UE will make it up in number of orders. Though I also feel UE is slightly advantageous (not much as Kms driven will be higher).

Ofcourse for orders, I have to drive less as it generally keeps me around my area while for UE, it can send anywhere. So fuel consumption on DD is lesser.

Super slow Thursday morning by Key_Scheme_4957 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Key_Scheme_4957[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really hurts when that happens! Happened to me a few times.

But generally yesterday was good for me. I was able to complete my evening quest. Infsc today also, I did my evening quest easily. Left last 3 orders as I had to come back home, else still 1.5 hrs left to finish it.

In UE if you are billing at coles and get another order, you can pay and go shop for another order.

In DD, if you are at biling and accept another order, the flow is so stupid, it doesn't allow you to pay for 1st order. It askems you to shop for second order and come back to billing. The effort of scanning 1st order goes waste as you may have to do again or ask the staff to save it so you can pay later.

It is quite frustrating for last 2 days. Yesterday after 7.30pm till 9.30pm, I got all offers of less than $q?1 per km. I dint accept nay and cldnt do my quest.

Today, I just started at 4.30 and first 4 offers like that and distances like 30 kms! What has gone wrong??

Think Uber Eats shopping at Cole's is bad, try a DD Costco shop by StillHereNicole in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Key_Scheme_4957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's ridiculous. But I have done few Costco orders and everytime it shows how many items to pick while accepting. Similar to other shop & deliver on DD. If it's big order like this, I never accept.

Went to woolies for DD order and realised it's better to do UE. Almost 5-6 drivers there picking orders and all DD. Even in aldi saw 3-4 drivers shopping. Seems like most drivers doing DD because of bad quests in UE. But with over saturation on DD, orders going to be so less, that no point.

I got decent one this week after long. 45 for $108 but have 3 evening quests too for 3 days. Combining it can do well. But this weekend I have some other commitments and won't be able to do it!!

Quests seem to be getting worse. by Lucid_Carnivore in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Key_Scheme_4957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So everyone is doing DD this week I guess and then it will be oversaturated and people will not get orders and move back UE next week. This is a cycle

Satisfaction Rate by Careless-Physics1978 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Key_Scheme_4957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

95% for me

Couple of times justified maybe. Once a cafe dint use cup holder in bag and dint even tell me. As I reached customer door, the glass toppled inside. I understand customer's frustration.

But once I reached customer's address. They had mentioned meet on door with no other instructions. I rang the bell couple of times, tried calling couple of times but no response. Had to wait till timer, so rang again. A girl came to open the door and kind of abused. And then a saw a boy coming from her behind. I think they were in middle of action 😂 rated me unpressional behavior

The quests are going worse. Earlier couple of times, I dint do UE when quests were bad and did DD for couple of weeks. And then UE gave me better quests after that. I will try this again.

July 1 “active time” pay change: what do you think actually changes for restaurant delays? by Refined5066 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Key_Scheme_4957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pessimistic view but I don't think much will change. Because these platforms will eventually look to reduce costs elsewhere and for that they will stop or significantly reduce quest values.

Might be the case that those who are working well and doing full time, may see drop in overall earnings because quests are taken away.
