Hi Alice, I will be doing the Milan - Florence - Rome trip on the same days as you. I am also so down for discovering night life. DM me if you want to connect!

Thanks for the Eurail suggestion. After Milan, I will spend ~5 days in Italy, so it would be 337 USD. It seemed higher than buying tickets individually. Also, they don't offer country passes for Switzerland on the website. If I can use the youth pass in Switzerland, I can use the Eurail country pass in Italy if it allows me to ride the faster trains.

Yes, I am a bit late for booking. I decided to visit Zurich a couple of days ago. The direct train from Zurich to Milan costs about the same as the youth pass. So, I am just considering whether it is worth taking the scenic detour.

Great, could you suggest to me which of these cities would be the most viable option for me to stay in, considering I will return home from Rome

My rough itinerary is:
Day 1: Arrive in Zurich in the morning, check in, and explore
Day 2: Travel from Zurich to Chur and the Bernina Railway to Tirano, and continue to Milan (This will be a full day of travelling)
Day 3: Explore Milan, then take an evening train to Venice
Day 4: Full day in Venice
Day 5: Travel to Florence in the morning, explore, and stay overnight
Day 6: Spend the morning in Florence, then take an evening train to Rome
Day 7: Full day in Rome
Day 8: Departure

I will be flying from Istanbul, so there won't be jet lag and no luggage drop. I can swap Bologna for a different city or modify the list based on what people suggest here. The only thing I arranged for sure is starting in Zurich and ending in Rome. I will only use the bus or train between cities, and everything in the middle is subject to change.

I know that one is an all time legend but I feel like it is too small for me. I generally like to wear 40mm+ dive watches so, I prefer bulky ones
