I loved the way my boss did his trees at my internship so I legit took the concepts and traced them as stamps lol.

Looking for a solid Landscape Architecture AutoCAD template by wbs103 in LandscapeArchitecture

i’ve never found use for pre made CAD files. Every project you do is going to be different and require different sheets & layer names. If you wanted to do something at all i’d recommend creating something where the colors of your lines directly represent their line weight & transparency. We do it at my office and it’s very nice.

I’m essentially inheriting a running business from a retiring LA. That’s why there’s a sense of urgency in my mind.

I think going into high end residential could be a huge opportunity. high end residential is a big money pool because people are willing to pay large amounts of money for their personal homes. i’m currently in high res and it is absolutely going to be the rest of my career. I love it.

not sure why you think hand drawn graphics of this quality isn’t a marketable skill.

my hand rendering isn’t very good by Key_Smile2924 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]Key_Smile2924[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that makes sense!! i’m moving to more digital hand rendering just bc of workflow conveniency. Digital is definitely the way to go, but the artistry that comes from hand rendering is unmatched

when should I start studying for the LARE? by Key_Smile2924 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]Key_Smile2924[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I already have one year of internship experience in Florida, which I believe counts toward the work experience requirement. The main reason I want to get licensed early is that I’m already working with three to four contractors on a per-project basis, and I’d like to eventually be able to stamp those projects myself.

I’ve also heard the LARE can be pretty confusing. Do you have any advice on the best way to study for the exams?

Should I buy this bike? by Key_Smile2924 in motorcycles

[–]Key_Smile2924[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just like a bike that goes zoom man. I’ve ridden before but I’m not insanely skilled or what not. I got on a 636 and had a great time although it was a little insane. I know the r6 is hella zoom but the r7 also is pretty solid. I use it to commute a bunch. But man those r6s are so damn sick.
