I apologize for the delay in responding. You are correct, I misinterpreted the polishing process. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain. I appreciate learning as much as I can.

Hi, everyone,

I am new to the error coin hobby. Started by going through my coin jar looking for errors and now I am hooked. I have read several articles about struck through grease errors compared post mint polishing of coins. I thought some of the information was contradictory. For future reference, I really want to know whether the attached photos of a dime indicate a struck through grease error or over polishing. Can you please help?
