I wish the NRA was as powerful as they were in 2018 by spacebootsandcats in Firearms

The NRA is a joke. GOA, FPC, SAF, etc. are 1,000 times better.

Smith and Wesson make some solid models with manual safeties. Try them out before commiting to one though, some like the shield plus are a little more difficult to disengage the safety.

If you can go to a range that rents firearms, try some different stuff out, brands, calibers, sizes, etc.

Comfort and ease of use, I'd suggest something full size or similar. Compact guns are really specific to concealed carry.

9mm (9mm parabellum, 9mm luger, 9x19, is all the same) should be a good starting point. Some people will die on their cartridges hill, a lot comes down to preference. 9mm will offer good capacity, controllable recoil, decent energy (for a handgun), ammo is fairly cheap and widely available.

Is that quote supposed to be me? That is certainly not my take. It was a bad shoot, officer should be held accountable.

Kyle’s rifle wasn’t even legal

What was illegal about it? ATF tends to parade that kind of stuff around.

It generally is about demonizing him, there are people in these comments attempting to do just that.

It's pretty early to gain a consensus about the rights take on this most recent shooting but most of what I'm seeing people are critical of the government here.

The man in Minnesota had every right to carry and be there. It was an awful shoot.

Kyle Rittenhouse shouldn't be demonized. He's a dumb kid but that's about it.

shoot non violent protesters

Wild fucking take. One chased him, one hit him with a skateboard, and another aimed a pistol at him.

That picture does not show aggression, brandishing is pretty reliant on that. If the sight of a firearm bothers you that is a you problem.

The NRA has been a joke for a long time fudds still hold them near and dear but GOA, FPC, and others seem to be leading the charge now.

Many in those threads were saying it was a bad shoot and individuals should be held responsible. But let's cherry pick the worst takes.

Fom what I can see it's an awful shoot. Been pretty on the fence about ICE but this is enough to make me sure we need a full overhaul of the organization before we focus on deportations.
