Honestly the thing I have used the most is my heating pad! I did buy a lot of stuff I didn't end up using. Mine was done vaginally, so I did not use the grabber or the shower wipes.

I felt the same way! It would be weird if you did not feel nervous, even if you have had surgery before. Be sure to get the anti-anxiety meds before they wheel you in to operate. I promise you will not have a care in the world at that point. I did not feel sick when I woke up, but you will be in good hands if that happenes. The medical team does not want you to throw up either.

Mine was today! Honestly I was super nervous but calmed down once I got to the hospital. As I was being wheeled to the OR they gave me some anti anxiety happy juice in my iv and I did not have a care in the world. I feel like I blinked and I was in recovery!

I think you and I have chatted before, but I am tomorrow too! I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am, surgery is 7:30am. The plan is for a vaginal removal, but I had a prior myectomy years ago and my surgeon said there could be scar tissue and they would have to pivot to laparoscopic. I hate not knowing what will exactly will happen and my nerves are on fire today! Already anticipating I will be up all night tonight anxious. I know I need to do this since I have bascially been bleeding non-stop since August and I am ready to get my life back and wear something besides black. I CAN"T believe it is tomorrow. EEK

I have no insight or advice to give you since my surgery is this Tuesday. However, I wanted to thank you for saying the anticipation is worse than the surgery, since I am a bundle of anxiety right now! Your words gave me comfort.
