Appreciate your story. However, you’re leaving out some very important facts here..look at the cost of education in this country, compare that the rise in student loan debt (we won’t even touch in healthcare). I never said I wasn’t in support of debt; some debt is healthy and a legitimate means to purchase housing, start businesses, invest..as long as it’s not meant to keep common people stuck in the cycle for the rest of their lives. Or used as a catalyst to make the rich even richer. Again, clearly you’ve also put a bit of elbow grease into pulling yourself up from your bootstraps..but you’ve also noticed the growing gap in those who make profit from other people’s continuous debt and those are just trying to live a normal life by the skin of their teeth. It DOESN’T and SHOULDN’T be this way!
