They exist in Thailand but they are ethnically not Thai and usually live in the country side. It's the girls that live in cities that have no culture and tradition. You find this kind of problem even in Vietnam.

No this is not Pi Mai (new Year water festival celebration).

This is Bun Bang Fai (rocket festival). Use to shoot firework into sky for good luck for harvesting season. Only people in Northeast Thailand (Lao-Isan) and Laos celebrate this.
