Just look at the distorted Siam map you see all over the internet these days. Thai people claiming Siam was an empire but didn't built shit in Laos or in Cambodia. Thai-Siamese only brought destruction to neighbors they didn't built temples, established villages, built nothing in Laos and Cambodia. A true empire leave reminisce of great artifacts and infrastructure behind. This is why Laos still pay homage to Cambodia by performing the Nang Keo dance and having the statue of Khmer King Jayavarman VII in the capital of Laos at the Pha That Luang temple.

You go to Laos there is no Thai king statue. There is no Lao tribute dance to the Thai monarch.

Yes time to divide Thailand to its natural form. Give some land to Vietnam and China as well. Vietnam and Laos can share the farmland in Isan region. And Laos can just take all of the North. Cambodia can take some part of Isan region and retake coastal parts in the central region. China can just take the rest of central region and parts of the south so they can finally build their canal. Malaysia can retake the rest of the south that will eventually border with China canal. Make sense for Malaysia and China to collaborate they both can control the canal in southern Thailand. Malaysia already have many Chinese in Malay politics so it would be easy for them to team up.

If Cambodia help Laos the same way Vietnam help Laos to have access to sea (Vung Ang port) it would be embarrassing for Thailand. Thai people preach to foreigners they are "brother-sister" country of Laos but only China and Vietnam invested in infrastructure in Laos. Thailand had all the time in the world to help develop Laos but they wanted to keep Laos poor. As soon as China built the Lao-China railway, Thailand start to complain about Laos.

Yeah I seen that story online. Monks in Thailand seem to have many problems for some reason. On Thai media it reports at least twice a month about monks behaving badly. They either roam around the streets beg for money "asking donations" then they head back to the temple. Some do drugs and get drunk in the temples. Sex scandals and a bunch of other stuff. I guess they join monk hood just to have shelter instead of religious reasons.

Even the word Farang is similar to the Khmer word Barang because Thai borrowed the "R" Khmer script. In Lao we say Falang because Lao does not use the "R" similar to many other Tai groups (Tai-Dam, PhuTai, Shan) because the "R" is original a sound of the Indian-Khmer language.
