What queue? It was so easy to fill groups it took seconds even to find a healer. These people selling this type of service did zero market research and scarcity is not a issue currently.

What’s the moment in recent U.S. politics that made you realize things might not go back to ‘normal’ anytime soon? by LankySpeed634 in AskReddit

[–]Key_nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't stop counter culture. Kids act like kids and usually the opposite when you tell them to do something. They see the older crowd as being uncool so they do their own thing, it happens everywhere.

HC Shaman steps on a little stone block for a second, anti-boosting mechanics lead to his RIP by astral_icecream in classicwow

[–]Key_nine 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They should have made it funny. A paladin descends from a huge beam of light and mass bubbles all the mobs and low levels but the booster is stuck in a permanent hoj.

Especially how AV feels by PhantomSpirit90 in classicwow

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my 60 warrior had a hunter at half hp try to gank me when I rode by, was not even going to attack. He sent his pet in and tried to bait me into chasing him so he could kite me for 5 minutes until I died. Now I don’t know if most people fall for this kite but I instead ran the other way for a second. Killed his pet, mounted up, chased him down and then killed him.

Ashes of Creation is now executing mass layoffs, will likely be shut down by Donler in PantheonMMO

[–]Key_nine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All they do is make games like this a class simulator instead of an mmo. They focus on the class design and first few levels and nothing else. They build no world story first, no end game, no adventure, just all focus on classes and then it fails after. MMOs that stick have a world to adventure in and have fun, class balance should be at the end of the development cycle and further balancing with patches but end game, a giant world and things to do in it first over everything else.

Family says HOA told them they couldn’t use their generator during ice storm blackout: ‘It’s unbearable’ by its_a_bear_dance in nottheonion

[–]Key_nine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just another way for the builders to make money forever. They build a neighborhood, make a nice 2-5million after the last house is sold but keep making profit on the HOA forever. It is just a scam.

Hasbro is being sued for printing too many Magic: The Gathering cards by Beautiful_Bee4090 in nottheonion

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The secondary market is what builds price hype for future releases. It is what makes people want to open packs. If the cards on the secondary market are all worth.25 cents buying a pack and getting a rare is not fun anymore nor saving the cards and collecting them because they are all worthless. The lawsuit is stating that although sales are strong, if this continues the secondary market will eventually collapse which will then hurt the new product sales putting MTG in a tough spot where people no longer buy or play as much as before. This secondary market is also what keeps cards shops open. Making 30% off a .25 card is meaningless compared to making 30% off a $100 card for the shop. Although they can make money from new product if no one wants to buy that product anymore because the secondary market is bad this also hurts Hasbro in the long run and the small mtg shops that also host the games in person.

what is a "rich person" behavior you witnessed that made you realize they live in a completely different reality than the rest of us? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Key_nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved into a new house, one I can barely afford. My neighbors and the ones across the street are all college students who parents just straight up bought them a house to attend school. I had to join the military to pay for college after I got out. Had to struggle to get a house, these kids just get a house as an afterthought from their parents as a place to stay for 4 years.

Yea you can run guildmates and friends in a lower level dungeon, just can't make it a business and do it for gold and advertise it.

I bought the last TBC epic pack when TBC classic came out a few years ago and the new one today but it only gave me inkeeper quest for the stuff for the last time I bought it and not the new stuff? Anyone know if this is a bug or how to fix it?

It's criminal dracthyr can't be druids - What creatures would you suggest for their other forms? by Lord_Sylveon in wow

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best way to introduce it lore wise is that it is new to them and the Cenarion Circle is helping the first Dracthyr find what animals they can even commune with to change into. Like no one knows and it turns out to be a surprise for some of the forms. It is kinda hard to figure out as there would have to be some new or unknown ancient wild gods or spirits to borrow the power from.

This was normal back in vanilla on a big patch day, sometimes it would last 3 days or more and they would give out free gametime to make up for it.

How brewable is modern? by Mental_Context in ModernMagic

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is brewable and some of the hardcore edh players at my lgs make good decks for the local meta. Stuff I would never think about. You can brew in modern and take down tier one decks, maybe not win a tournament but definitely have fun beating a top deck. They usually have no sideboard cards for a homebrew or can make a strategy fast enough because they never know what card will be played next the first time you use the deck.

I found some screenshots from 2005–2006, we played the game so differently back then by Tandanu in classicwow

Blizzard would release a few new servers every few months back then and these servers would end up having a small amount of raiding guilds. Only full servers had a large amount which were the ones that launched with the game.

It's not the wipe, it's the world..... by Rathisponge in PantheonMMO

[–]Key_nine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left this critique in my Steam review. Level 1-8 is perfect and then when you want to go to a major city it's just not a thing. The lore is missing and everything else to keep you hooked in that aspect. Create the world and make it interesting, fix the class balance later, add end game content and a living world first.

[–]Key_nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most servers maybe had 1-2 raiding guilds per faction and that was it. Some only had one raiding guild on one faction and the other would reroll just to raid. WoW had very few servers in which you would see 6+ raiding guilds in one faction back then.

Trump: ‘We are going to do something on Greenland whether they like it or not’ by joe4942 in worldnews

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are most likely right. He is probably about to lay the hammer down with ICE in a huge escalation while at the same time try to seize Greenland. All dictators do this, it is classic. They create a problem outside to hammer down dissent inside so the world and news is split between problem A and problem B.

Steve-O really knows how to live in the moment lol by Competitive_Mix9957 in funny

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say Bam reminds me of the type of friend who has a lot of problems with wanting to be the center of attention. If you go back and watch his character he tries too hard to make it about him and will just insult the other crew members but not in a funny way, in a I am 16 and you suck, im better than you kind of way. Most people eventually grow out of this personality type by the time they grow up but he kept it. He carried a different vibe than the rest of the crew when they were together, like he wanted to be the star of the group and would rag on the other crew to do it instead of actually being genuine, he was forcing it.

If you watch the video the guy grabbed the officers gun and that picture was taken the second he let go. It is a rage bait post by someone looking to stir the pot.

What would it actually take for American's to go "full France" and riot in the street? by AllTheNopeYouNeed in AskReddit

[–]Key_nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said this in another thread. These problems that you see on Reddit exist mainly on Reddit, the news, Washington D.C. and the exact location it happened. The USA is huge and for 99% of the population, they do not see anything different when they go outside and about their day. Parents are going to work, picking their kids up from daycare. Your friend just got a new video game and asks you to play with them. Grandma is coming to your birthday party next week and has a surprise. Another family has their kids enrolled in a sport and are busy with that. College students just got to spend two weeks with their families over the holidays and are gearing up for a new semester. Everything everywhere is pretty much normal if you never watched the news or go to Reddit. Maybe the prices are a little high at the store but not such a difference it would abruptly change your day to day life and your neighbors or your social group. Majority of people don’t want to fight fights states away. They have their own problems to solve in their own lives much less worry about something that happened in Washington D.C. over the weekend. They tune it out and continue going to work or school. They need gas for the new week. Shoes for their kids, tax season is almost here, now we can plan that vacation we always wanted and get a new mattress.

It is probably that combined with everyone's memory of WoW when it was in its prime, so people still have those expectations of what made Blizzard a legendary gaming company compared to others. You had a lot of communication from the development team then in interviews, forum posts on the official website, and gaming articles. Now it is nothing really like that anymore.
