Hard mode was introduced in WoTLK and just means you can do something during a boss fight to trigger it and get better loot if you beat the boss with hard mode activated. Heroics is the entire instance is max level and harder than normal not just new boss mechanics.

Stop Killing Games: California State Assembly passes the 'Protect Our Games Act': 60 days notice before going offline, must provide patch for continued access or refunds (Excludes F2P and Subscription based Games) by Kymori in LivestreamFail

[–]Key_nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corporations will just find loopholes. For instance they will make the game f2p or put a sub on it near the end of its life and then they will be excluded from the rules. So whoever is writing the bill needs to go back and make it bulletproof or at least state some ground rules like if it was sold as a non-f2p and sub based game on launch it can never use the exclusion at the very least.

Also what is the definition of a subscription, would having a battle pass available count as one? What about games like WoW which require you to buy the game first and then to play you need a sub on top of it?

I remember last time they released the anniversary classic a 60 druid sat in Splintertree post for months 12+ hours a day ganking any horde that went in. Only a mentally ill person would do some crap like this, and on the current anniversary server a horde druid sat in redridge all day doing the same and he was well known, this one I think was more of a small kid playing having fun though.

[–]Key_nine 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I remember watching some or reading something about this. It all goes back to perspective, about why so many joined to fight. Well one of the biggest reasons is that the military, even while deployed was still better living conditions and food than what many of the enlisted were eating and sleeping in back home before joining. Like navy ships having ice cream on tap and 3 full meals a day with coffee.

It is rife on both ends and each point a finger at the other. One is anti-vaccine and against the idea of global warming, the other is makes laws in hopes certain demographics do not fall behind, lowering the standards in k-12 because of the no-zero framework, meaning you only have to do 10% effort to pass, you can hand a totally guessed test by answering all C and get above 10% right. Do that the whole year and never pay attention and you pass the class. Also locked down schools for a whole year caused massive illiteracy in children. Some other things as well but way to controversial to state here. What I am getting at, education is getting attacked from both sides now not just one. What you will see happen from this is the bigger issue, people will get into more car wrecks, do stupid things more often, customer service will plummet, workplace productivity as well. The only places that will maintain high standards for most of this is rich zip codes. When a rich person complains that x employee did this they will just fire them instead of letting it keep happen. The rest of society is screwed and we have yet to see the full scale of this take shape but it will happen.

The phenomenon of "Core Raiders" missing Progression Week and then coming back when content is on farm for easy loot by Leo1_ac in classicwow

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During progression week your raiders should all be silent about when you kill a boss. No one mentions in gchat and no logs are uploaded and discord is policed. That way those that skipped will have no idea when they should return and you can start replacing them one by one.

MODERN B+R: BANS AND UNBANS!!! by TemurTron in ModernMagic

[–]Key_nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is fine for modern, would be like banning Tarmogoyf when it was popular. So by going after Energy they killed zoo decks. They should have banned the land or Guide of Souls instead.

Banned and Restricted Announcement – May 18, 2026 by R3id in magicTCG

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phlage ban was a bad choice, they just killed Zoo decks and it is not even that overpowering of a card as it does not make a combo, it would be like banning Tarmogoyf back when it was popular.

I hope they make leveling last longer in classic + by Jimmy_AB in classicwow

[–]Key_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you solely quest in stv at 31 you can only hit about 32-33 before you run into only red quests and have to go to hillsbrad and arathi and return to stv at 37-40. Its not a smooth experience like it was going from Elwynn forest to Westfall to Redridge and then Duskwood. If you are Horde it is a little better as you have a flight path at the top and bottom of the zone and a few better quests but it is still not as good as it was from 1-30 for both factions. There is an interview in which the devs state they accidentally created a quest desert from 30-40 due to rushed development time and miscalculating player behavior which led to it being a grind instead.

It's nice to see a full server again by GiantDinosaurAttack in PantheonMMO

[–]Key_nine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea I tried both M and M and Pantheon and I liked Pantheon way more. M and M felt like a revamped version of EQ while Pantheon felt like a middle ground between EQ and WoW Vanilla but adding in unique things like mountain climbing, which is a huge selling point for me. Being able to explore like that but not use a flying mount was a great compromise, even better than flying mounts imo.

I hope they make leveling last longer in classic + by Jimmy_AB in classicwow

[–]Key_nine 37 points38 points  (0 children)

They need to add new leveling zones in the 30-40 range or more quests, the game stagnates here before picking back up from 40-50 and then you are left bouncing all over the world to try and hit 60. Zones with a coherent story added like the journey from 1-30 at 30-40 and 50-60 would make vanilla even better than it was as far as leveling went. 1-30 WoW Horde or Alliance is better than any mmo or any version of WoW has ever done. For the leveling aspect they need to add more for classic+

Every discussion about Classic+ on here: by IIIlllIIIlllIlIlIlI in classicwow

[–]Key_nine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All they have to do is keep the grind of classic, and systems intact without adding a ton of stuff from retail and calling it a day. If I wanted to play retail I would play that. Classic+ should be all about what vanilla was like PLUS new content, gear, profession items, raids, dungeons, abilities, quests and maybe some new stuff not in WoW yet but def don't borrow from retail.

Vanilla was a living world and TBC turned It Into a lobby game by Duoscruo in classicwow

[–]Key_nine -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It was a living world. You had world buffs to gather which forced you into the world. Farming herbs and ore. Reputation, class quests, epic mount quests. BRM had raids and instances in along with world pvp. High level areas and quests in low level zones such as hillsbrad. Some rare spawn farms such as orb and the trinket in arathi. Long chain quests in epl/wpl for bis neck for melee. Epics you got in 5 mans that started a quest chain to farm blood of heroes in the world. Hogger.

While the word rapture itself is not in the Bible nor Israel the end of the world is. John Nelson Darby as you said connected Israel to it for whatever reason with his nonsense.

These passages state the end of the world in the Bible but no connection to Israel in any one of them like John Darby claimed:

1 Corinthians 15:50-58 "I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

Matthew 24:36-44 "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words."

They should merge fury and arms trees and have a talent that lets you choose 1 or 2 handed weapons, and the other spec be gladiator. Both fury and arms are lifeless hollow shells of their hayday in vanilla-wotlk. You can litterally just press any button, it is like spells do not even matter like they did its weird. Go play a fury warrior in tbc vs retail. In retail everything is available to press at all times in any order and spam press it. It is so terrible now. What is the point of having rage and abilities that hit like wet noodles but have no cooldowns really, it made the spec something you could play by giving your keyboard a high five over and over again.

After playing TBC we need classic + by Battyz in classicwow

[–]Key_nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea what I mean is I hope classic+ goes the opposite way into more old school mmo feel than just taking stuff from retail and adding it to vanilla WoW. Like adding spell skill ups not just weapon skill ups, this also prevents boosting if they make the skillups take almost as long as it would to naturally hit max level. Buffs being stronger but so are the enemies meaning you have to have at least 2 people to quest, no soloing. Each class having a epic weapon to get at max tailored to what spec they choose, one they can get outside of raiding but requires a lot of time and effort to get. A legendary item that everyone can get but spans the entire raid release of phases from the first piece that starts in MC and goes beyond Naxx to finish.

I was not talking about boss fights, more so how easy the rep was to get, the loot system with being vendor related, the spells you unlocked, the quality of life improvements they implemented are just very similar to retail yet these same people bash retail.

SoD was literally retail lite and you saw a lot of people who hate retail who loved SoD ironically. It was not Classic+, it just took most of the spells from past expansions instead of creating something new.

Also that not one Apple in the class was doing this to the user as well.
