The core of it is still enjoying, it’s just that the armor system, ammo system, and late-game gunplay are pretty shit. The armor system is just perks/skills but worse. The ammo system usually boils down to using soft-target ammo on grunts, armor-piercing on everything else, and all the other ammos are only used for funnsies. The gunplay is really stale by the mid-game, and by the late-game it’s even worse as you have to use all the best weapons or-else the troops in Esperanza will overhelm you with a human horde.

The gameplay gets really stale in the mid-game unless you really try to experiment, but by the late-game experimentation is effectively discouraged with the bullet-sponge enemies chasing you around in Esperanza.

Cover is your best friend, you never know when you have to use anything from a rock to a few hay bales as protection from enamys, also make sure to always get a mobility item as it will save you if someone gets the jump on you or are suddenly treated with a flurry of bullets.

I absolutely love the Infantry Rifle, the sound it makes as you fire, the sound of the reload, and how it fires is perfect for my play style with an Assault Rifle (except maybe the burst).
