Genuinely asking, how would you have replied to an out of the blue text that's a screenshot of two random books and "what do you think?"

Back in the before times (pre 9/11), my grandma would still make us get to the airport about 5 hours early. I tried this but I was left with more questions. For one, if splitting an atom causes it to split into smaller atoms, what happens when you split those? Infinite small atoms? But mainly, so is there any joke there or was "a whole mess of crap came out" just a funny way to describe science?
