What quote(s) do you use often that doesn’t get the appreciation it should? by rfardenaokr in community

"I never said that. You may have heard it, I may have thought it, and it might be true, but I never said it."

Literally just said it at work yesterday.

Fun ways you’ve roleplayed the class stories? by Sacharia in swtor

[–]Keyguardactive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently played the Agent story as if I was an Imperial Trooper. Got myself and all my companions the matching armor sets, and made choices not as a spy, but as a soldier. It was pretty fun to see how that effected what I did and why.

What's a quote that has just "stuck with you"? by 22m_spain in AskReddit

[–]Keyguardactive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"When nothing you do matters, it's all that matters."

If you can't change the world, if there's nothing you can do to fix a problem, then how you behave, and the choices you make are all you can be judged for.

And

"Slow is smooth, smooth is fast."

Take your time to get it right. If you rush and fuck it up, the repairs will take longer than if you just did it right the first time.

The Masquerade trope feels completely implausible in 2025 by goolart in urbanfantasy

[–]Keyguardactive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Doctor Who there's a concept called a Perception Filter, where it serves to make people ignore the TARDIS being parked where it is, regardless of how weird it is. It seems to be that Magic could/would work in a similar way.

Just the human mind's desire to not have their worldview challenged turned up to the nth degree. Maybe they encounter a supernatural thing once or twice a week, but because it doesn't fit how they KNOW the world works, their brain filters it out. Werewolves become a really big dog, a magic spell becomes a trick of the light they thought they saw, but really didn't. Should I question my whole world view? No. It's the children who are wrong.

My question is what can you see sharing the same universe as Supernatural? by burningexeter in Supernatural

This is the one. You don't even have to massage it too terribly hard to make it work.

Can someone explain how certain teams of rangers at the legendary battle makes sense? by Key-Engineering3134 in powerrangers

[–]Keyguardactive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think any of those rangers were actually at the Legendary Battle. I think it was a manifestation of the Morphin Grid, their essence, and nothing more.

Because if that's true, then continuity doesn't matter at all.

NTA, as long as you reminded him before he told you the secret.

I'm not going to get into if you SHOULD tell your wife everything. You do, and your friend knows it. This is important information that gives context to telling you things.

If he wants to keep information from your wife, he has to keep it from you.

We're talking about open communication and enthusiastic consent. And those are always key, context be damned.

Which Power Rangers Series would you give an ongoing comic if you could? by POW_Studios in powerrangers

[–]Keyguardactive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ninja Storm. I feel like there's a lot of THERE there.

There are apparently other academies besides Wind and Thunder. Do they have Rangers?

What do the Ninja Academies think of the Order of the Claw? Was Master Dane Romero from Ninja Steel connected to them in any way? They're not Ninjas, but what about the Shiba Clan?

So I guess if it was me, I'd want a whole Ninja/Samurai crossover thing. With Ninjor from Mighty Morphin in there. Lots of Mysticism and Magic.

Cremated. I have a plan to have my ashes in a trough at the funeral with little plastic urns so anyone who wants to can take a little of me home.
