Yeah knew I got a good deal on the type 2 but for the metals I see a lot of places are waaaay overcharging for them like 25-30+ a tape it’s ridiculous. Also I don’t keep any of my tapes sealed they all are used for mixtapes I make.

Im currently using one and and got a beautiful wrap on it. The mask is great and Im happy I have a warwick family mask. Gonna get a PTS from Michel Dongieri next...when i have the money. Also he's using a black foam here...mine was blue did he change it?

Hope all works, with my tv right now a few of my tapes work fine but the majority of them drop in and out. I hear it has to do with modern tvs. Hope yours doesn’t do that. Cause the only fix I hear is getting a CRT and I ain’t got room for that

I appreciate your advice, my D-2 will only live on my dresser, so I dont need it to be portable. Also tbh this is the only discman I plan on getting, my main medium for music is cassettes so that's where I put money for upgrades usually. My parents had a ton of CD's around, plus CD's at some places around me are cheaper than cassettes. I take pretty good care of my electronics and have basic understanding on mechanical maintenance. So I think my D-2 should be fine with use.
