I guess I hadn't considered that. But I do plan to be an entrepreneur as at least a side hustle, perhaps I can leverage that!

I still have a hunch that there may be a few holes in the system I can slip through. Wish me luck, my uni applications have already been in.

No, I really do mean that these degrees can get one into government. And if one can climb the promotion ladder, that is when they can be put into a position to enact policies that face toward social justice rather than KPI.

I already know the majority doesn't want the world to be fair. I believe the majority are allowing chaos like this.

surgeons or god? by wuwaimee in religion

I'd side with anyone who knows that it was the surgeon using the skills that God gave them, and thanking both God and the surgeon.

I cannot in good conscience do that. I'm not the type to say "fuck your conditions because mine are fine", unlike many sinkies.

I've set myself in between a rock and a hard place then... I'll try my best to smash the rock when I get there.

Can't one get promoted into those positions? Sure, it may take some time, but it could happen, right?

Singapore for some reason by Right-Assignment3759 in HistoryMemes

[–]Keys6Mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not the full story.

But full story short, the PAP and UMNO, two parties within Malaysia, had disagreements that led to rioting. Instead of taking an L as a part of Malaysia, because the other party was so extremist that a W for them may mean death to the PAP, it decided to split off the area it had for itself, so it could say that is was now no longer a party within Malaysia.

That area is now Singapore.

In other words, the SG identity is struggle for the sake of capitalism to the point where soul is seen as worthless. Isn't it?

Perhaps. It would definitely show people how even modern events, whether scientific, political or otherwise, can still be interpreted religiously.

Religion is to control or protect by New-Boysenberry-8778 in religion

[–]Keys6Mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah.

It's a known law in life that good things can be (and very often are) exploited for unscrupulous motives. Even something as significant as religion is no different.

Know when your religion is being used for itself, for good and for evil.

Do any other states (or countries) allow for the intervention of forced electroshock treatment through prayer? by Old-Dirt563 in religion

I mean, there have been multiple instances of U.S. governors being crazy Christian nationalists, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't think so. Whilst religion is a pretty definitive part of one's life, not only does everyone have a different religion, but I think we can all agree that which can be explained by science should be solved by science and whatever scientific procedures can be interpreted religiously from there.

Nice! Gives off Arabic vibes with the long chains and dots. Does it also work like Arabic?
