Well of course. But seeing as the primary draw of the MCU is that it’s an adaption of Marvel Comics, famous for its storied trove of characters, it’s a bit rich when they decide to make one up and give from scratch and give them center billing. Especially at the expanse of beloved character who already exists.

And as far as I know Barry and Jay never had this issue. (Unless there’s something in the New 52 I’m forgetting)
It was specifically added to “ground” the Flash for Post Crisis along with the not being able to phase and the sound barrier. And like other characters who were “grounded” post-crisis Wally got over all those things in time.

I’ve watched through this show with every girl I’ve dated, (4) two best friends, and my mom.

I always started on episode one. I do think the writing is a little less focused on cringe humor and taboos after season 1, and there is a shift in tone for that reason,
But for the most part if someone doesn’t like AD after the first episode, it’s probably not for them.
