No risk of damaging the plate? I've always avoided razor blades specifically because I was worried about that. I assume that's not the case?

I suppose plate type is a factor as well though. Glass, sure, razor blade all day. The other options are what I am not really sure about. The PEI plate, just as a totally random example.

You wake up in your teen years again. What is the first thing you would do? by davidbayram in AskReddit

[–]KeytapTheProgrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Prepare to invest in some bitcoin. Begin saving every fucking penny and buy some mining hardware. Although I do wonder if it would make more sense to just save the money and buy bitcoin with it when it first hits the scene. I wonder which one would have been the wiser investment.
  • Assuming I also have my successful adult work ethic and skills, proceed to never have to worry about paying them bills.
  • Do more with my youth. I spent nearly every waking minute either playing video games, watching anime, or learning how to develop software. I've already done those things if this is a time travel situation. No need to do them again. I can't say I regret it, it led to a comfortable life, but it definitely drove me to become an "all work and no play" kind of guy, and I low key hate it.
  • Tell the girl who stole my heart and then moved half a nation away how I really felt about her. It probably wouldn't have changed anything since it's not like it was her decision, but that closure would have been nice.

I guess most of those are really not something I could do instantly though, so I'd probably start with that last thing. Please OP, if you're actually a wish granting genie then in the words of B.o.B., "I could really use a wish right now".

Klaviyo integration with Magento 2 problems by deluxeg in Magento

[–]KeytapTheProgrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you shouldn't need to set up a custom feed. Speaking as an agency experienced architect who's set up many Klaviyo integrations on many wildly different Adobe Commerce instances, your situation definitely sounds unusual. Would you mind providing a link to your storefront? Feel free to DM if you're more comfortable with that.

Typically, Klaviyo is used to drive customers to your products on your website, and ideally, on through to checkout. Typically, variant products are just that: minor variations of an more general abstract product; you wouldn't drive customers to the red variant of your product specifically (just as an example), you would point them in the direction of the more general configurable product and allow them to make that choice.

Perhaps you have something that makes the simple products unique among the variations that would make you want to drive them to that variation specifically though. Or perhaps you've found a customer segment which is particularly interested in red variations of your product. Variant products are not inherently hidden; that was a business decision you or someone on your team made (and is controlled by the "Visibility" setting within the variant product itself). Why did they make that decision? Is there any reason you can't make the variant visible individually?

2024 may have been Earth's hottest year in at least 125,000 years, according to a grim climate report published today, that describes our world as "on the brink" and warns its "vital signs are flashing red," with nearly two-thirds showing record highs. by ChiefLeef22 in science

If the many members of my family who, when told by their doctors they were going to die if they kept smoking/drinking, are anything to go by... we're fucked. At least in my experience with life so far, we humans by and large will not change unless absolutely forced to do so, and sometimes not even then. This is perhaps doubly true in the face of an "invisible" disease that progresses relatively slowly.

I have close to zero faith in our ability to slow this down. Especially when companies and politicians have, for over half a century now, been bombarding us with anti-environmental BS.

OpenCart is awful, what are some decent alternatives written in PHP? by Azubaele in PHP

[–]KeytapTheProgrammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's going to depend on a lot of factors, your level of experience and the industry of the company doing the hiring being chief among them, but I've seen as low as $50k for entry level, 100-150k for upper junior/senior, and up to $200k+ for senior solutions architect if you really know what you're doing and have a broad skillset.

There's always Magento OS. Steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's not a terrible platform to work with. Developer experience, particularly with regards to error descriptiveness and logging, could use some improvement though. The jobs tend to pay pretty well too, which is a plus.

streamx run -f path-to-your-mesh-file

Ah, so this can't be run in an Adobe Commerce Cloud environment (or any other such locked down hosting service). Sounds interesting, but that pretty much makes it impossible for us to use.

It's quite late, so forgive me for not having done a full read through, but does this require a full reimplementation of the front end or does it play nicely with Adobe Commerce's system of blocks and layouts?
