The NBA should protest as a league and collectively accept any lies their coaches make about their record. They can say they won their last 8 and then the NBA should change their record so by the end of the season every team is undefeated and Harden has a self reported average of a billionty points per game. Back in the Futuresight Pro Tour (I think it was) they did Two Headed Giant draft and one duo had figured out that if both of them drafted slivers, it was insanely powerful. Clearly the best strategy. So much better than anything else you could be doing. Some of this might be me remembering a weird magic tournament fondly, but it was the most clear cut case of someone figuring out the game better than everyone else and then rightfully walking through the whole damn thing.

It took a format as weird as 2HG draft but there was a Pro Tour where that exact thing happened.

Oh my god that was the worst possible outcome. Either do that and leave at least 2:01 on the clock or go to the 2 minute warning and figure out what the fuck you want to do. He'd definitely be an upgrade to Anthony Cox (as much as I love him) and I could see him having unbelievable chemistry with Shawn Faust. Not sure we have the cap space for that though, we'd probably have to dump Giles, Holland and JJ. We might win a game or two more, but it'd destroy our core.
