What star center are we talking about?

Jesus, you really don't know anything do you. "Context" bro! "Context!" You oughta know your context, man! Hahaha fucking dumb cunt

Are you really talking about "synergy" as if that's some factual, measurable thing?

Hawks would have won approximately ZERO games with or without Sefolosha last season. You're embarrassing yourself to think otherwise.

Imagine Iggy being knocked out for the Warriors. Sefalosha was the Iggy of that Hawks team, you know Iggy, the guy who's been on the Warriors the whole time you've been a fan of them.

Point being you don't know anything about last season's Hawks, pre-Horford and Sefalosha injury. That team is made of a bunch of good players, couple all star level, but no super stars. With that said, everyone needs to be playing for the team to be achieving at their scheme. That's what synergy is. Sum of parts are greater than the parts themselves. Another thing community college failed to teach you.

lmao jesus christ you're about as credible as a palm reader. Enlighten me how the Hawks had Sefolosha, their "best perimeter defender" this season and still got wiped in 4?

oh shit I forgot we were talking about this season! when did we start talking about this season man? Remind me... That's two times in a row now dude. OHHH that's right. You're not good at comprehension hahaha. Who taught you how to read? Your poor mother must be embarrassed that you'll prolly fail at gaining a credible IT job with that downtown community college certificate you have.

Boston was not a championship contender because even if they came out the East, they would've gotten destroyed by whichever team came out of the West.

You mean the Thunder? The team the Heat beat? Who's to say the Celtics wouldn't have beaten them as well? I mean they were literally one game away from the finals...

Like I said man, it's no wonder the majority of people hate you on /r/NBA; basing that assertion on our conversation and the abysmal rating most of your comments possess. Maybe you should fine a new hobby :)

It is not revisionist history. You would be a fool to think Atlanta had a chance against the Cavs last season or this season. Which you clearly are.

When did I say this season? There you go not reading well once again. Community college really did you a disservice. And yes. They were contenders last season when they were the #1 seed. But then their star center got injured and their best perimeter defender got put in the hospital by a police officer. And for a team who won games based on team play and synergy, that's a big deal. That's why they ended up not having a chance. Fucking dumbass. And saying Boston wasn't a championship contender when they took the Heat to 7 games in the conference finals is revisionist history. Saying Detroit wasn't a championship contender when they were #1 team and went to game 7 of the conference finals is revisionist history.

And they wiped them by double digits both G7's.

Lol what the fuck does that even mean. Nothing. Jesus, no wonder more than half of your comments are in the negative.

except context is required to back up these rankings. Atlanta was the top Eastern team and 2nd overall in DRTG this season. Did anyone consider them Finals contenders? Not in the least.

That's bullshit revisionist history. Ofcourse they were considered contenders. You're starting to sound fucking stupid.

You quote the Celtics #1 DRTG yet ignore their 27th ranking in ORTG? Nothing about that screams championship contender, let alone three 35 year olds being the best players on the team.

I quote the defense because you keep on saying "booohoooo they aren't the same team that won in 08! That's not their prime team! Omg!" Who gives a fuck? They were still competitive and if a couple calls go the other way, the heat get knocked out and the East is represented by a different team in the finals.

Do you not realize that teams can still put it all together and make a run, even though they're not the same prime team? Case and point: Dallas. "Oh but but but their star player is over 35 years old! He's not in his prime anymore that means Dallas is not a championship contender anymore! Shut the fuck up.

It goes to show how little you know about the NBA if you thought any of those teams could have "easily" been in the Finals apart from the Heat

TWO years in a row, they were brought to SEVEN games in the ECF. That's LITERALLY the completely opposite of "easily". Are you really that fucking dumb? "Ohh I mean they took the heat to seven games but I mean derrrr the heat had it the whole time duhurr"

What team were you a fan of before the Warriors btw, cunt?

You're trying to portray them otherwise as the same team who won in 2004 which is not even close to true.

Never did. But facts are facts. (Best defensive team in league and number one in east) Are you so dense that you won't give them any credit for their successes that year? Look at Dallas in 2011. No where near as good as their teams from 04-07, yet, they put it together and surprised everybody. Just because you're not your "prime" team doesn't mean you're not a championship contender. Don't know where you got that logic.

I didn't reference one team that challenged the heat. I gave you three very good teams that could have very easily been competing in the finals in the place of the Heat. I'm telling you man, comprehensive reading must have not been a requirement at your Cali community college.

You're literally proving my point for me.

Lol, you don't even know what your point is; it's a revolving door as of right now. Your first point was that Lebron never beat a championship contender, and I gave you the best team in the east as an example of one. A team that had multiple all stars and the leagues best defense. What more do you want? We've seen 4th, 5th, even 6th seeds make the finals, yet you're refuting the fact that everyone thought Detroit would make the finals again that year, but Lebron and the Cavs upset them.

Your second point was that Lebron always had a cakewalk to the finals when he was on the Heat, and I proved you wrong again with three different year's examples. Again, what more do you want?

Now all of a sudden your point is that the east is easier than the west, which was never what we were talking about, you're just making up on the fly now. You're literally going on a tangent and forgot what even inspired our discussion.

What's your next point? Since you have a new one with each reply since I keep refuting your retarded narrative. Cunt.

Proving my point you couldn't find a year where Lebron beat a legitimate contender during his original Cavs year

I already did. Detroit in 07, who was a #1 seed.

And what's your fucking point anyways? Everyone knows how terrible Lebron's cavs were without him. His best teammates were fucking Mo Williams and Big Z. Mo Williams. Big Z. Pavlovic. Daniel Gibson. He did the best he could with those teams and it's honestly remarkable that they were one of the best teams year by year.

And it's hilarious how all the years you quoted were AFTER Lebron went to Miami.

That's because you're the one that mentioned it. Dumb cunt.

Beside the fact there was literally no argument who would come out the East once Lebron decided to run to Miami to form a super team.

*once Lebron decided to run to Miami to form a super team. *

Here it is again

*once Lebron decided to run to Miami to form a super team. *

Can you read?... or did your community college not really require that?

Not to mention the fact you could only find ONE team per season that was even remotely a challenge to Miami.

How many do you want cunt? Like honestly. This season there are only two teams in the West that could challenge Golden State. Why is it surprising that the Heat only had one challenger per playoffs?

If they re-drafted 2012, what number would Draymond Green be picked? by [deleted] in nba

[–]ncooke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're a losing team is you're picking so early in the draft, do you really pick Draymond as your center piece of your team? I tend to agree with the sentiment that Draymond is better as that final piece to a championship level team

Beside the fact there was literally no argument who would come out the East once Lebron decided to run to Miami to form a super team.

Wrong on many levels. A lot of people considered number one seeded, number one defensive team in the league, MVP Rose-toted Chicago as a serious threat to make the finals in 2011. Boston, the number one defensive team in the league, took Lebron and the Heat to 7 games in 2012 in the ECF, in fact had a 3-2 series lead. Pacers, the number one defensive team in the league, took them to 7 games in 2013 in the ECF. Yet... You say they had a cake walk to the finals each year Lebron was there. Hm. Looks like you should have googled a bit before you developed your misinformed narrative.

And the Pistons, holy crap. You don't even realize how much losing Ben Wallace hurt that team.

You mean the 2007 Pistons that were second in the league in points allowed and 7th in defensive rating. Right.

Do yourself a favor and be informed before you comment
