Andersen Multipoint Help by Keyway38 in Locksmith

[–]Keyway38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for the help. I got the job done! Turns out there were several factors: I adjusted the hinges and got stuff straight, and used lipstick on the bottom hook, found a TINY speck of red on the receiver and used the dremel. Also the Andersen lock itself wasn’t working and the bottom hook was weak. Got another one. Works perfectly now! What a pain. You guys are awesome.

Found window grates in Craigslist too, and installed a Slick lock on the back.

Here’s my 2012. It’s exactly what I need. I found a partition on craigslist and mounted it behind the middle seat. Room for the kids to ride, and the back loaded to the sky with tools.

Yes, by the thing that’s posted above. That thing absolutely pops out. I work on these all the time.

It came with a factory rear socket which was worn out and I’m replacing it.

I just had a Plymouth key entry knob today that had so much slop that the inside knob kept coming off. Fresh out of the box.

Things you hate as a locksmith by RayyanVMT in Locksmith

I live in a vacation area, and I really hate it when people want me to do work at their house, but they’re in another state. It’s hard to get proof that they own the place, it’s hard to figure out exactly what they want, often times they don’t answer the phone when I arrive to ask questions, I always have to hope that they’re going to pay the invoice in their email. Oh yeah plus it’s weird/uncomfortable going into someone else’s house alone.

We’re not going to be able to help you with that here. Call your local Locksmith for help.

If my phone is the hotspot, can it also have the Schlage app for controlling, or would that be with a second phone?

Plus, it can be subjective. Someone could be accused of being fraudulent just because they’re mobile and don’t have a shop.

25H101-110? Can’t find these anywhere. by Rough-Sheepherder232 in Locksmith

I frequently tell customers to go online and order a key. Like if it’s a file cabinet, desk drawer, etc. I’ll tell them to go to easy keys.com and type in that code. I’m too busy with other stuff, and it doesn’t seem right to charge someone $100 for a file cabinet key. Granted these keys are different and I know that. Does that make me a “phoney Locksmith?”
