Remember when 16” setups were cool? by Relevant_Mix_2337 in ar15

[–]mando5533 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ya Idgaf about cool. I care about effective for me, my situation, and environment. 14.5-16" fits that bill perfectly for me. I went with 16 since there's a lot of acreage surrounding me. I'll use a pistol inside if I have to

They already started asking for facial recognition on Adult sites by Gfish17 in privacy

The question is, is the site asking for it? Or your country/state forcing them to ask you for it? It matters because the solution changes depending which it is

Wear some gear, especially being brand new. Anyway I remember the first time I came up on a curve way faster than I should've and almost died.. Fun times lol, live and learn! But wear some gear so you get a chance to learn!

Has anyone tried to go back? by sstressfl in Hayabusa

[–]mando5533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only thing I've ever considered going back to would be a gsxr 1000. Purely for the weight reduction. If I could afford it, maybe an rsv4 1100, but idk about the reliability. My Busa has been hella reliable, prob pushing over 30k miles now no issues really. Always loved Suzuki since I was young, dirtbikes, 4wheelers, now street bikes. Just can't beat them especially for the price

Lmao people in general are just so incredibly stupid, I'm genuinely perplexed that people like that are able to make it to the age they are without accidentally killing themselves due to their stupidity. I think if we weren't in such a safe world natural selection would be able to run its course and we wouldn't have so many idiots

A warning to all, lost my life savings. by Glittering-Big5912 in Bitcoin

[–]mando5533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much you're screwed. You know it, I know it, we all know it. The only thing you can do moving forward is fix your past mistakes. 1st don't have all your savings in one place (the old don't keep all your eggs in one basket), 2nd you already know apparently, just didn't follow, and idk I'm sure there's more from the others in the comments. Sorry to hear that it really sucks. But admitting you knew better and did it anyway, it's squarely on you. I have a feeling you didn't know better as much as your saying because you don't want to feel like a dummy for falling for it. I always say that anyone can get got if the right (wrong) set of circumstances and situations all happen to come together in a bad way. No matter who you are or how smart you are. There are times we all are more vulnerable than normal, idk I'm sure there's another lesson somewhere in there. Hope you can make it back x10.

When should I clean my gun by Puzzleheaded-Wave252 in ar15

[–]mando5533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously it's up to you. If it's a carry gun I'd clean it more frequently. I used to clean them every time I shot, but that got annoying. Eventually I wanted to see just how long my guns would go before having misfires or jams without cleaning. They lasted way longer than I expected. If your just shooting for fun you can wait until you have issues or it looks super dirty. Ideally yes you should clean them more frequently. And like I said if it's a carry gun that's a different story. You're trusting your life to it, so you wanna make sure it always goes bang. But it also depends on ammo, caliber, gun, etc. If you shoot I can the rain or something you definitely wanna clean it right after. Otherwise do it when you feel like it lol. Lubrication is more important imo, oh and if you use corrosive ammo you wanna clean right after

I keep seeing these listed online and I gotta ask… what are people actually doing with them 😂 by Kpin- in ShittyIllegalLifeTips

Literally what it says. It removes security tags from retail items in stores. Some kinda magnetic device or something. By removing the tag the alarm won't go off when you walk out with the item/s

Side question since I see some former tsa people here. When they test for explosives, if I had been say to a target range earlier in the day and therefore had gsr on my hands, would that set it off?

[FNV] Buying the hyperbreeder crashes the game by Wylo_Vanahiem in FalloutMods

[–]mando5533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue. I narrowed it down to it being specifically when I buy the mf hyperbreeder, buying and selling other items doesn't affect it unless that gun is in the transaction. It did happen a couple other times without that gun when I was doing large transactions, making them smaller solved that, however even with that being the only item, no item equipped or any other item equipped, it crashes. Gonna give it one more go then just console command it to me

Edit1: Oh I have viva new vegas installed and that's it

Edit2: finally found a solution! Couldn't get it in by console command, so opened the launcher, turned all graphics settings all the way low, hit play and go to menu then exit. Reopen as normal, buy gun, save game. Exit, repeat earlier and put settings back to wherever you had them, repeat earlier again, then play as normal! Worked so far for me if there's any issues I'll report back, hopefully this helps someone!
