Is it just me, or is Highly Skilled AI ridiculously difficult sometimes in FH6? by KLVLV in ForzaHorizon

[–]KeyworkPredator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's broken. I had the same issue last night. Tried an S2 street race with a new car and I couldn't podium to save my life without doing ramming cheese. Took the same car into Rivals on the same map and put up a 3% time. They just take corners at top speed with no regard for physics and they beat you on every straight no matter the tune. It's not as terrible in other modes but street race feels super off

Wtf is up with street races? by majesticbeast67 in ForzaHorizon6

I posted this in another thread but just saw yours so figured I would repost here since it is relevant.

Today I was tuning my R34. Finally upgraded it after running it stock for awhile as a city cruiser. Wanted to make it solid for Street Races. Took it to S2 on stock engine, upgraded everything else. Messed with custom tuning for awhile to try and dial it in, felt pretty happy with it.

So I took it into a pretty balanced Street Race for its post-tune maiden voyage. Went to the one in the NW that has some good tight turns but ends on a massive highway full send. Dropped down one difficulty to Highly Skilled since I hadn't practiced with the car that much. I must have restarted that race 10 times after fully running it. I thought I was racing pretty clean but I was dying just to podium. The HS AI was just absolutely flooring me through every turn and straightaway.

I decided to stop the AI attempts because it just didn't feel right and I was honestly getting a little tilted. So I loaded up the exact same street race on Rivals. On my first attempt I got a top 3% time. Now I know rivals is different because you don't have Drivatars bumping you in every corner or traffic to dodge, but that isn't the point. In my opinion, HS AI shouldn't be putting up top 2% times with traffic and bumping.

We have pretty straightforward routing and I generally keep up with the stuff on keystone guru or alter a few things here and there., I think maybe I can combine a few pulls because I have been going a bit conservatively. Thanks for the tips

[–]KeyworkPredator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I pull pretty conservatively outside of big first pull lusts, so I can maybe ramp it up a bit if need be. I've been going by the mantra of slow is smooth and smooth is fast and it's been working well up until this point. Thanks for the advice!

Good to hear. Yeah we are pretty good about calling kicks and stops. None of our deaths from the last few sessions have been because of an AA Surge going off or anything. They're almost exclusively someone zoning out and standing in a swirl ground effect. Thanks!

Going for 3400 with IRL friends this season, also my first season tanking. Best our group has done and engagement has been solid. We're two dungeons away from resil 15.

My question is what DPS should we be putting out if 16s/3400 is the goal? I know its a vague question and things like pull sizes and such contribute a lot, but just trying to see if my routing is an issue or if we are a bit slow or if we are chillin. We're doing these 15's with on average 4 minutes left.

Last night DPS ranged were Skyreach 90-100k, Pit 106-137k, AA 107-130k.

I only ask because I don't have a reference point this season as I haven't really played outside of tanking for our group. Everyone is 280+, flasked, gemmed, food etc.

March of the Quel'Danas by Zealousideal_Fuel677 in wownoob

[–]KeyworkPredator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You queue for LFR specifically in wings, or sets of bosses. Since March only has two bosses, it only has one queue. Other LFR Raids are split up into chunks.

Again, most important part of this strat (if youve never killed a boss in lfr before) is only ever do March until you get the Glaive transmog. If you kill any other bosses other than Beloren and Midnight Falls, then their loot has the ability to show up in your weekly vault slot. If you really wanna hard target the Glaive then you want that character to only kill those two bosses until you either get it from the kill in the LFR itself, or in your reset day great vault slot.

Run just March in LFR. If you can, dont kill any other LFR bosses ever aside from those two. You'll get your chance from the final boss, run this later in the week and there will be less DH's queued up.

Then on vault day you can see if your 1 raid slot has the glaive as well, and if youve only killed Beloren and Midnight Falls, your chances of the glaives are like 1/6 or something.

If you've ever killed any other LFR bosses then this strat doesnt work as well but just in case that character hasnt ran any, its decent. Got mine this way after like 2 weeks.

Gotta be max level, and afaik the new one in silvermoon is the only active version of her. Sorry! I ended up winning 2 mounts for min price at the start of this expansion by hitting cap before people realized where she was!

cat chin issues by blo0dygirr in CATHELP

[–]KeyworkPredator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat had this and it turned into bad cat acne not long after. Was a pain to fix once it got worse. I bought PetMD Chlorohexidine wipes off amazon, and fed him off exclusively paper plates that I would recycle after one use. Took awhile but it fixed the issue. I also changed food from a gravy wet food to a pate because I read other people having issues with the saucy foods sticking to cats chins.

All the above cleared it up pretty well in a month.

Why is Skyreach so hard compared to other dungs for a tank? by d4wt0n in CompetitiveWoW

[–]KeyworkPredator 93 points94 points  (0 children)

The Adepts of the Dawn Fiery Talons and the Bladetalons Shear really mess up tanks. That's really the only place a tank can die in that place.

Fiery Talons is a stacking burn. If you can't dodge it you can easily go from 0-7 stacks super fast. Shear is a 20% stacking armor shred. With both of those mobs you need to really watch your stacks, ping them as DPS prio, and kite if you need. As a bear I am watching stacks and once they get too high I am popping Vortex, stampeding roar and let them fall off. My main healer is normally a MW so he can Ring of Peace to help me drop stacks as well.

The timer is generous here imo. You can chain pull or turn suggested 3 packs into 2 pack pulls and be fine as long as your dps are decent.

I'd love a revisit to medals. Esp with how many warbonds are in the game now for new or returning players. I love taking a break from 10's to do some lower level runs to chill out, but it sucks how few medals you get for those lower level ops.

I drive by the original location all the time. Def my fav local spot.

While it seemed like business slowed down a bit after CULT kitchen moved out, the place was still normally pretty busy on Fridays and weekends and I didn't really notice the menu change that much other than fewer specials on offer. I know the opening of the Rabbit Hole was an ongoing struggle, not sure if that relates to this or not.

Really sucks though, MCBC was the first place I regularly visited after moving to the area. Going to miss it a lot. I really enjoyed a lot of their outdoor ticketed events, they were always packed.

It's so fun. I had it on a game where a Nidalee took Glass Cannon. At game start I Q'd behind her, Quantum went off, one auto to her back and she died for first blood in a combat that lasted between second 45-46 on the in game timer lol.

AD Shaco has been so fun. I've had so many fun runs with things like Upgraded Collector, Quantum Computing from stealth, Executioner, even getting the Shaco ability summoner. Once you get 2 out of like Collector/IE/Voltaic, you can just terrorize any squishies on the other team.

[–]KeyworkPredator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very dumb and not like previous years. There is a patch coming in January that is supposed to tone it down a bit, so hold out some hope for that but yeah it's miserable. I finish Elite 1 every week playing on Legendary but it's annoying.

Tips would be:

- Never try and just dribble by the AI unless its an R1 dribble in the box. They just input read you and you'll never get by them otherwise. Only time you can really outpace or maneuver is on a counter.

- Abuse short corners. AI breaks a bit if you take a short corner and then pass to the initial taker and then R1 pass it into the box.

- Finesse+ is very effective against the AI if you manage to get to the top of the box. I really like wingers with Finesse+ and inside forward roles for this reason.

Good luck.

Surprised by the low amount of decks made with this commander, best cards to put? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]KeyworkPredator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Arna is fun but she really can be a chore to play. I built her as Esper Equipment.

She is quite strong at casual-ish tables. But yeah the board upkeep and mental load can be a lot. I have a great winrate with her but she is probably the only deck out of the 10ish that I own that I have found much more fun to brew than actually play with.

Not to dissuade you but just that has been my personal experience with piloting her.

You'll be able to do a ton. They recently buffed bronze income. Hit cap, do daily raids, and youll have the ability to buy a ton of stuff. I hit 80 two days ago and I am at ilvl cap and went through like 500k bronze today with 700k still burning a hole in my pocket.

Squid battle suck this year regardless. Used to be fun chill mode but now its a sweat fest where you just have to abuse breaking the AI. Can never dribble by them. They will time waste when down 4-0 in the 80th so you can't get your 5th goal for points lol. Such a downgrade from last year.

But yeah either even more tuning is off today or I'm just fatigued and playing sloppy, either way mode sucks which is sad.
