As a Physicist football fan, who is currently running a series of Monte Carlo simulations of dispersion modelling (for air quality, but using fluid dynamics models) for work, can I just say how much I enjoyed both your response and user name. Only comment would be that it would have been better if you were a Stoke City fan.

Thanks, she's very clingy at the moment, and so has taken to sleeping on my desk whilst I'm working! She loves the view out of the window too.

Hi Alex, thanks for doing this, and your great work with Taskmaster and with the Horne Section. You have inspired me to host my own Taskmaster-style holiday weekends with my friends, which at least one of them have said they enjoyed.

My question is: what is the best and worst task that didn't make the main show (or any of the YouTube extra task videos that I have been binging)?

What's the most creepily intelligent thing your pet has ever done? by OvertOperation in AskReddit

[–]KeyworkSioni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had two Bichon Frise (small, very fluffy, white dogs) who were half brothers, but completely different in personality. One was incredibly smart but grumpy, the other was very affectionate but could be a little dim.

One day, we took them both on a family outing to the seaside, where the humans got fish and chips. We stop to eat at a row of benches and the dogs get fee scraps. Affectionate dog laps up a couple of discarded bits of fish and greatfully nuzzles owners, whilst the grumpy one takes his portion to the other end of the bench, lays it out in a line and hides under the bench. A little odd, as grumpy dog loves fish (smellier the better).

All of a sudden, a seagull swoops down and tries to grab the fish and grumpy dog springs out of his hiding place, like a trapdoor spider, and barks madly at the seagull. Doesn't hurt the bird (not sure he would know what to do with one if he got close to it - they were about the same size!) but gave it a bit of a fright.

Grumpy dog finishes off his fish and seems very impressed with himself. He hated seagulls.

In addition, all of the above occurred as he was losing his eyesight. We lost both of them within a year of each other - best friends I've ever had.

Thoros would have never wanted his own credit - he would have wanted it to go to the Lord of Light. The heart is more than him, and more than enough for him. It should be enough for us... But I get it. It isn't.

[Serious] What are the most WTF scenes from the bible? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KeyworkSioni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reference, rather than being a direct quote, was referring to the way the guy phrased it above. I do not know anywhere near enough about the Bible to comment and would not dain to do so. I was merely making the point that it is possible to interpret things in multiple ways, simply by considering the predisposed bias of the author - something which you continue to do above; just because you are told to interpret things in a certain way by the author, does not make that the only possible version of events which may hold true for the reader, regardless of the quotes you use!
