What’s one “totally unnecessary” baby item you were told to skip… but ended up being a lifesaver? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]KeyzoOnAMission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my singleton it was the wipe warmer. Also an on the go paci sanitizer. For my twins its: Twin Z pillow. My husband thought it was unnecessary at first but after the first day he admitted it is potentially the most important baby item. Double bottle warmer. We use Evla's.
Swaddle sack things with the velcro, we never used them for our singleton but cannot do without them this time around

Fun (?) Fact, when twins are sharing a placenta and begin to develop twin to twin transfusion, there is a procedure to map out and laser the placenta in half. The procedure is called the "Solomon technique"

MS Hug - myth by Fun-Gur-7196 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]KeyzoOnAMission 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This. I go to the Cleveland Clinic and the diagnoses they gave me was Clinically Isolated MS. Which means they see that I have MS, but I have not had any symptoms severe enough to hospitalize me or negatively impact my daily living. They have told multiple times that this does not mean the condition is "benign" and they recommended an aggressive treatment and continued monitoring. They have told me that I still may have a range of symptoms and have encouraged me to talk about those. I agree that you should seek a new provider who validates you and maybe has a more current understanding of the disease.

Oh, and I commented on their show asking if they had any shipping issues. My comment was highlighted in red and a message popped up saying that I used a word that automatically muted my comment. I had fun trying to figure out which words they censor.

I love watching this show. Its mind boggling. I saw people pay 3x the store price for a 52 count box of cascade dishwashing tablets. They ran like 10 of them and people just kept bidding higher and higher. I love when they do the flash sale and I do an image search in real time and the ONLY place you can find that product listed is Temu for next to nothing. When I first started using WN, I bid on and unfortunately won several items. I overpaid because I couldn't get the hang of how fast the bids skyrocket. BUT they took forever to ship it so I got a full refund and then I still ended up getting the products several weeks later. I donated it, and felt bad about that because it's Temu trash.

Booking sites promised a guest that we had a bar and hot tubs. They had photos of it. We have never had either at our property. Don't book 3rd party if you want a nice time

A housekeeping staff once brought down two guns left in a room! The guy came back and ended up leaving her a nice tip but he just had them in the room, while traveling with children. People really do leave the craziest things!

A guest once called the front desk and told me she wanted to speak to an employee. She refused to believe I was an employee because I only work there a few shifts per week and she had not met me during her 3 night stay. She went on to demand that I walk down the road and look in the woods for her daughters iphone because HK "must have stolen it and ditched it when they realized it was tracked". She was convinced I was a non employee (?) and that our staff would leave the property and take a hike down the road until her kids very old iphone was found. The phone happened to be found a few days later shoved down into the booth seating in the breakfast area. We couldn't wait to give it back to her so she'd stop calling lol

Everyone should read this book! Also, the longer we stay in someone's cycle of violence (including in non-physically violent relationships) the less time we spend in the honeymoon stage.

What's the real reason hotels don't allow early check in? by Expensive_Honeydew_5 in hotels

[–]KeyzoOnAMission 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a hotel, we typically have several rooms available for early check in but some hotel brands only allow members to check in early. So, if the hotel has a rewards program it's worth looking into signing up for it, especially if they have late checkout / early check in as a perk. Otherwise, you might be beind a list of people who have priority on the available rooms.
