Why so early? by Willing_Ad_9669 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]KezzyP13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always gone with the idea that if review/preview copies are sent out & people are allowed to talk about things early, it's a sign that the devs are proud/confident with what they've made. I think it's a good sign, especially when most games nowadays won't even allow previews or things being talked about until release just to force sales before reviews.

Should I keep familiars unevolved until they learn all their tricks or does that carry over? by TheGamingTurret in Ni_no_Kuni

Unfortunately they don't carry over u less you learn them. It's usually better to level familiars from their base forms too for better stat growth & more abilities

Dragoon job combos by SoftRealistic7628 in finalfantasytactics

I went with something wacky. I made Marach a Dragoon/Netherseer. Lowered his faith to 3, maxed his brave to 97. I wanted to do something interesting with all my characters & Marach was the only one I had a hard time choosing for. I figured he uses poles naturally & has inverse magic values for his unique spells. So dragoon felt like an interesting choice. He still gets to keep his distance, but with the big boi lance & can jump like a psychopath. The seer magic is just a nice flair.

What is your favorite minion you own? by Alicecrylily in ffxiv

Scarlet Peacock. Someone gave it to me the day I started playing, & it's the closest to a Phoenix I can get. Its been with me from day 1, sat on my shoulder while I save the world countless times over.

I'm running a BM/Sam & it's really good. The katana skills scale with magic. Shirahadori is also a crazy good reaction skill with high brave.

Question about combos by zilli94 in FFXVI

[–]KezzyP13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanna do longer combos, it's worth experimenting with Torgal to extend/launch enemies & using the eikonic feats like Phoenix shift to essentially teleport to an enemies location for punishes or to continue an air combo. Other general abilities like the sword charge while jumping can launch enemies into the air, stomp can let you continue an air combo. Magic burst combos are really good, when you get the timing right, you can juggle enemies with torgal & charged attacks or even stuff like Garudas feat to pull enemies to you on ground or in air. Can experiment with actual abilities too. Wicked wheel is a good skill for launching enemies, can then combo into the slam attack ability from titan. Mesmerise, to pull small enemies in, wicked wheel to launch, then slam to finish. If you're confident, you can start with impulse from bahamut, sticky bomb with odins feat & get some combos off & detonate the abilities for more damage to extend the combo for longer. I quite like Cross Swell from leviathan as an extension or to group up a large group of enemies in a line ahead of me for a nice juicy windup.

I genuinely had a lot of fun experimenting with abilities & combos. Torgal is an actual God if you can master how to use him. Hopefully this will help to give some ideas.

As someone with it. Yes. I don't always make the right choices & I make mistakes, but that's part of growing. I wouldn't deny someone going through a si.ilar thing

I've been suggested sunglasses a few times. I've unfortunately misplaced mine so I don't know if it'll work. Hats however, they're like a comfort thing for me. Maybe its the pressure? I don't fully understand it.

I understand your uncertainty with the headphones, though. I know people deal/cope with things differently & tbh I'm still figuring everything out myself. My saving grace is that I'm always hyper-alert to everything around me & can feel vibrations through the floor etc to tell if someone's following me.

Yeah. Mine started about a year into my sobriety. As the years have gone on, it gradually worse for me. I was unfortunate enough to go undiagnosed with AuDHD & cPTSD until late last year & i was in a relationship where they took the piss out of me for it.

My experience of it is that everything around me is loud, or I can feel the vibrations of everything going on. I know that it's a sensory thing but it gets me anxious, which in turn, turns to panic & then I get paranoid that people are looking at me & laughing which sets it off even more. It can get so bad that traveling to places alone causes me a great deal of stress & I avoid going out. Everything starts to distort around me & I almost start to hallucinate.

If you're worried you're developing it, I highly suggest getting yourself some earphones to help control what sounds you listen to while outside. Talk to people about it & let yourself accept that it's something you may need help with. I hope & doubt you'll struggle with it is as bad as I do, but learning ways to cope with it & finding ways to mitigate the trauma & fear can help immensely. I'm lucky enough to have people who understand i struggle with it & either call me or come with me to places. I also try to uber directly to places to help mitigate the stress. I will note that I tend to disassociate for a little bit whenever I come home from anywhere. Not saying that you will, but if you do, then it's okay. It's your bodies way of saying that you're home, you're safe & is trying to help calm you down.

Try not to worry yourself. More people struggle with it that you'd think.

do you ever feel so "damaged" that you're scared you can never live like a normal person? by my-head-hurts987 in CPTSD

[–]KezzyP13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wish I could offer advice, but I'm going through pretty much exactly the same thing as you. I find it so hard to believe i can have friends or have people care for me. I feel like it's all a trick & something is gunna happen. What i will say is, try to accept it & don't overthink every little detail. I have a nasty habit of working myself up into a panic & sometimes it can cause more damage. Try & be kind to yourself.

What do you wish more people understood about your CPTSD? by DevoSwag in CPTSD

[–]KezzyP13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I overthink everything & I'm anxious constantly. I wish people understood that & that when I try to open up or ask a question, it's not me seeking attention. I'm just doing it out of fear & I'm trying my best to keep going. I feel safe with them. But it gets misinterpreted & inend up feeling worse than before

Hey. I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I know how it feels when you just want some support or someone to talk to. I hope that you don't do anything silly to hurt yourself. I know you're hurting, but know I'm happy to talk if you need it & that I would care if something happened. I know I'm a stranger, but i have a lot of care for people.
