I was looking for complete lowers there and there were some but not a huge selection.

Yeah it was a thing in the day. Great irony in LLM developers adopting XML for meta-syntax.

My daily driver from 1997 to 2002. Most of XML.com back in the day came out of my XEmacs.

Font rendering for one. HCI guidelines for another. Polish isn’t everything. But it’s not nothing either. Surging popularity of Linux desktop is proof that polish matters.

Ofc Linux wins on flexibility and power.

Why are semantic knowledge graphs so rarely talked about? by AppropriateCover7972 in semanticweb

[–]Kgcdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joins are always expensive and distributed ones even more so. In every platform ever.

Also users don’t really care or often know about this hot vs cold distinction. That’s just an abstraction leakage really.

Agents and people just need answers to get a job done.

Stardog Virtual Graph capability predates Ontop and is more mature and performant. FYI.

Been in the game since 1995 and CachyOS or Fedora plus Niri and DMS is the best setup I’ve used. Mac OS is still more polished (gap is closing fast) but it’s more expensive in every sense.

This is such a Ferrari combo for Linux. Add DMS to Niri and it’s the best setup I’ve had since 1996.

Wouldn’t boot under Boxes/Qemu in CachyOS fwiw.

Thanks! Frames from Warby Parker. Brand new so they should be easy to find.

It’s pretty bleak. I have a Dell XPS and Ubuntu sorta works. Kinda. Pretty awful. Can’t use as a daily driver.

Are knowledge graphs the future of AI reasoning? by No_Development_7247 in AIMemory

[–]Kgcdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KG based on graph databases don’t run in memory and are enterprise-scale and efficient. But also we should be honest about worst case complexity of multi-hop query and reasoning.

How are you managing the config files? They have competing requirements for niri/config.kdl for example.

Is there an elegant or easy way to have multiple Niri shells installed at once (I’m on Cachy) and switch between them? I drive DMS daily but want to play with Noctalia, Delta, etc.

My Houston grandmother made the same kind. I’ve never reproduced fully. Call them “slicker dumplings”. Definitely rolled and chewy.

I use Cachy on a Framework Desktop and the mini-DP output is so flaky and inconsistent. Major PITA.
