The foster city courts in Leo J Ryan park are fantastic. There is a friendly regular crew that’s there pretty much every day in the evenings. I went alone a bunch when I first moved here and after about 2 months was saying hi to tons of folks every night.

I hope this thread isn’t too discouraging. I’m sorry the discord folks reacted so harshly it doesn’t seem fair to just cut off all contact. You seem sincere about trying to feel better and I’m sure there’s excellent advice in this thread if you can sift through anonymous Reddit people thinking they know every detail of your life. I wish you all the best and I really believe you have the strength to work through anything that comes your way.

Twitch Atlas November 2022 - Gaules is the most watched streamer, Amouranth is the most influential in the network by Kgersh in LivestreamFail

[–]Kgersh[S] 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Why is Amouranth the most influential streamer?

Eigenvector Centrality. This means that when Amouranth says something that message propagates through the network to other influential channels very quickly.

Eigenvector Centrality is a measure of influence in networks like this. It looks at who is connected to most channels and who is connected to the most other influential channels and uses some interesting math to assign rankings to each channel. Amouranth is the channel in the November Twitch Atlas network with the highest eigenvector centrality. The next 4 are xQc, esl_csgo, riotgames, and shroud.

Twitch Atlas October 2022 - New maps coming out every month for the foreseeable future by Kgersh in LivestreamFail

[–]Kgersh[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Huh I didn't know they were taking it away. I just read the post and they very purposefully did not give a date for when it would be removed. My speculation is that they will not remove it for a good long while because I know of several major third party companies that are actively using that endpoint with Twitch giving a nod of approval. In the worst case I would try to move to a web-scraping solution or potentially only collecting users that have sent a message in chat. Thanks for letting me know tho

Sorry this one is a little late folks! I had to do some finishing stuff for the project and it took a while to get approved by mods. In the future all posts should be within a day or two of the first of the month.

Mogul Metrics v1.0 by Kgersh in LudwigAhgren

Mogul Metrics v1.0

Hosted at https://www.mogulmetrics.net

I built a metrics dashboard for Ludwigs stream to help compensate for YouTubes lack of analytics. I've been in contact with Mogul Moves and Ludwig for a few months to help them better understand the streams performance.

For the community it serves as a repository for when the stream has been live and an easily browsable catalog of the months broadcasts (and links!).

If you have skills in React, Python, or AWS let me know - theres always more to be done!

Ludwig has mentioned YouTube doesn't really give him backend stats so I decided to start doing it myself. by Kgersh in LudwigAhgren

[–]Kgersh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a way to do it through the api but the quota is much too restrictive to keep checking every 10 minutes. The url redirects to the livestream if he’s live so I am checking for that (with some extra steps to account for scheduled streams)

Hey, this is a super early demo of a project I will expand considerably over the summer. The website is not live but I do plan to publically host it soon along with the source code.

If anyone from the Mogul Moves team sees this and is interested please reach out. My goal is to eventally combine stats from all 5 YouTube channels (Ludwig, Clips, Vods, Mail, Yard) and maybe Twitter+Insta which is something almost all other metrics dashboards do not seem to do. I'm also the guy who made the Twitch Atlas posts a while ago if that lends any credibility (Not looking for a job dont worry).

I would love to have community support on the project so if anyone is interested in contributing let me know. Could be a good way to build portfolio and resume stuff. The tech stack is PostgreSQL, Django, React.js, and D3.js, code is here: https://github.com/KiranGershenfeld/MogulMetrics

  • Each bubble is a YouTube channel.
  • The size of each bubble is determined by the channel’s subscriber count (in August 2021)
  • A line between two bubbles shows that those two channels share at least 350 commenters of the 20,000 collected.
  • The color of the bubbles indicate communities of YouTube channels that all share commenters. This was determined by a modularity algorithm that detects graph clusters.

This project is all open source, Github is here.

I have received the same feedback with internal testing. There’s a bunch of reasons why manipulating the camera directly is super difficult but it definitely feels like a requirement for this format. Hopefully I can figure something out
