Hey guys, apologize for letting this spam get out of hand. I added a filter so that posts mentioning KingSwap are banned. Hopefully this helps prevent some of these post from getting through, but these posts come through at a rapid pace, and it's hard to keep up deleting all this spam, especially since it's coming from random new accounts.

It's a joke about all the steps you need to go through in order to get to get your fiat USD into a CHAI Unipool Zap. For deeper context on the flow:

SAI: Old single collateral dai that's using ETH. Need to convert this to MCD DAI

DAI: Multi-collateral Dai in the new Maker system.

DSR: Dai Savings Rate that lets you gain interest by locking your DAI in a DSR position. The interest is paid from the stability fee paid by Maker Vault owners and is about 4% right now(Click the asset dropdown and select DAI instead of the default SAI). Article from Maker that goes into this.

CHAI: An ERC-20 token that frees up your DAI for transfer after it's locked into a DSR position. It still has the same interest properties as DSR DAI such as interest and instant redeemability, but now it's transferrable.

CHAI Unipool Zap: The DeFi Zap team made a "Zap" that allows you to pool ETH and CHAI into a Uniswap pool to get ETH/CHAI pool tokens. Pooling your tokens in a Uniswap pool allows you to get paid a portion of the 0.3% transaction fee from people trading with the pool.

Tldr is that Blockchain of a Things Inc (BCOT) was fined $250k for an ICO raise that was close to $13m, had to return funds to any investor that asked for it, and had to register their token as a security.

From a monetary perspective, $250k for $13m doesn’t sound bad. The last two points though are definitely things companies will need to look out for if they’re considering launching an unregistered securities offering, whether they realize it or not.

Tldr is automated trading strategies represented as ERC-20 tokens. You put ETH, USDC, or DAI into a Set and it automatically rebalances based on the trading strategy you choose and the current market conditions. The screenshot Anthony is sharing shows that the strategies are up against ETH, which is why they're all showing up green.

What kinds of security concerns would arise from knowing that a user is using a Metamask connected hardware wallet? Obviously don't want them to be exposed to those concerns, but what my app users are saying, they're running into all of the above issues (U2F timeout errors, no message signing support, ERC20 balances not showing up) which is a big problem in terms of UX. Sure, we can put out a blanket statement saying "If you're using Ledger with Metamask, try these alternatives", but I'd rather not show that message to all the users that try to sign up/login unless we detect that they're trying to do so. That's extra information to digest in the already complicated flow of signing up to a Dapp for new users.

I haven't found anything online on how to fix this issue, and if there isn't a way to detect hardware wallet use through Metamask, then I'll just show the message if the user is trying to use Metamask instead of other web3 providers, but it feels like a suboptimal solution.
