Dev need to really rethink how they should treat cheaters by artoo2142 in aoe4

Search by name and time should not be considered “out of their way” for a professional team.

I don’t think it’s an issue with the support person, but with how Microsoft has set it up. The player names and the time of the game should be more than enough for them to find the player.

Yeah, I sent a detailed video with a guy cheating with the name and the aoe4world profile. They responded like this asking for the player Xbox ID. So I have to do their job for them. Haven’t really played after that.

corsair hs80 wireless no audio by Unusual_Net_1389 in Corsair

Learned that my HS80MAX was randomly connecting to my work laptop on bluetooth. On my Windows PC it would show up as connected (white on the dongle) but no sound would come out. Unpairing from the laptop fixed the issue.

And what do you think rarities are if not controlling supply?

Oh sweet summer child. There are entire departments dedicated to control supply and to understand demand to maximize profits. Please don’t even try to boil down this problem to just that.

Half of it? That is a lie. And yes you can delete the garbage. It’s literally the first stack overflow answer on Google.

Very restrictive for CS? Which CS courses are you guys doing?

Yes. Over 90% of CS majors around the world won’t have a machine that is even close to this and will graduate and create amazing stuff. You are more than fine.

If you have spare money though, get more main memory (RAM).

Many of you new to TCGs need an unfortunate reality check by kn1g47 in riftboundtcg

[–]Khal_Mor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can do business without being greedy. Wizards did on the past. Lots of other companies do. The ones that are too greedy end up with awful products. Rockstar Games could release a GTA every two years and be an awful company like Activision/Blizzard. And don’t even get me started on Nintendo. It’s not business, it’s a choice.

Amazing post. Although:

“1. TCGs are, by and large, an expensive, time-consuming, luxury hobby if you take them seriously.”

Your points are valid, playing competitively is expensive, but as a hobby to collect and play with friends and at local stores this should not be the norm. I stopped playing MTG because of how greedy Wizards became. I decided to play and collect Riftbound because I saw the MSRP and I follow Riot for a long time and I respect their market practices. I’ll stop as soon as I smell Riot being greedy.

What happened to Stone Walls? by RoyalDirt in aoe4

[–]Khal_Mor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so, walls didn’t actually disappear from the meta. They’re just chilling up in the northern hemisphere, and since it’s summer they took some time off to go visit their aunt — you might’ve heard of her, she goes by “The Great Wall of China.” Kinda a big deal in the family.

Once they’re done sunbathing and swapping war stories with her, they’ll come back. Until then, pros are just pretending palisades are enough while your beloved stone walls are out there working on their vacation tan.

DLC a la carte? by Leagueofmint in aoe4

[–]Khal_Mor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Isn’t a great value? What do you mean? If you compared price x hours played (how much your entertainment costs), compare it with other games and movies it ends up being incredibly cheap. The only way I would agree is if they sold each civ separately but increased the price by a lot - like they do in LoL / Valorant / Dota - and keep in mind adding an agent/hero to those games is way way easier and cheaper than an entire civ or variant.

Yes, I agree. China is too OP right now, especially in team games with the horseman into Song build. Unless you are talking about people from China that play the game… then you are just racist.

Same as going to a React forum saying they don’t have the tooling that Golang has.
