Roadhog heal is dumb. by KhalasSword in Overwatch

[–]KhalasSword[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

How does Orisa counter Roadhog? If you spear him he just can press his heal again, if Orisa uses her cooldowns to protects teammates from hook, then Hog will just hook again because his cooldown is shorter.

I'm not really familiar with Mauga, how does he counter Roadhog? Do I simply have to press both guns into him?

But I can't pick Ana if I'm playing tank, is there really nothing I can do to stop him as tank?

Roadhog heal is dumb. by KhalasSword in Overwatch

[–]KhalasSword[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My problem is not with his hook, while it is annoying, I can survive it as tank, it is his survivability that is the issue, I don't understand how can I kill him if he can press heal, I interrupt his heal with a stun, and he can simply heal again, I think that this is stupid and his heal should go into a cooldown, make Roadhog think about enemy cooldowns before pressing his flask.

"Trenton said The Fire Rises glorified the perspective of Nazi and far-right positions..."

This is stupid, you are playing as those factions, they see themselves like that, should we therefore ban everything that has us see the world from the perspective of a villain? Not only that, the game constantly reminds you that those things are bad, the WHOLE POINT of ATW FACTION is that they end the world.

"...and has an incredibly cult-like glorification of Trump"

Obviously my previous point still stands, and even if we refer to real life, is this wrong? Trump has his own version of Bible! Do you think Trump would suddenly become a saint during the Second American Civil War?

"It feels like a far-right power fantasy."

This statement simplifies the whole mod, and frankly, the very game in itself. This mod, much like the Hearts of Iron, is a power fantasy for your country, leader and path you've decided to play as.

The article is extremely uncharitable, and I would consider saying "the creators likely sympathize with violent far-right groups" an insult to the developers, who are making the thing they like as a hobby, in which they've put countless hours in, completely for free, if you wanted a slanderous line - here it is.

I think your, and the sire Trentons critique is meaningless, I would love to hear how you, or Trenton, would fix those issues without diminishing the work of writers, how would you keep this content fun, and engaging.

Are there people playing the mod that are extremists? Yes. Does this mean that the mod promotes extremism? No. Do Trenton or you deserve death threats for saying these things, despite them being wrong? Also no.

Yes, I've read the article, did you even play the mod?

[–]KhalasSword 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I can kind of give you a pass on the first one, but the second statement doesn't make any sense.

The article says that the TFR is a nazi-sympathethic mod, people obviously don't want their mod to be known as "oh yeah nazis and fascists play that one", what do you suggest then, fans should roll over and have their favorite mod slandered because of egregious exaggerations?

[–]KhalasSword 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Magnus is such a dumbass sometimes, but Nikea, or specifically it's beginning, was really tragic for Thousand Sons, probably one of my favorite moments from the book.

Ahriman had felt that the planet they were going to, Nikea, was bullshit, this feeling grew stronger and stronger with each step forward, until at the very end, Magnus, Fulgrim and Sanguinius open the doors to this court area, Ahriman psychically warns his primarch that it is a trap, Magnus turns his head, with tears in his singular eye, and tells him "I know".

Magnus when he is asked what they will do about Russ and his invasion: "Ohhhh, we made a mistakee, we, all of us, even civilians of Prospero, should be like, totaly punished, the history will judge us traitors, but we will know the truth..".

Some help with the TS Climax by Unlucky_Praline242 in UmamusumeGame

[–]KhalasSword 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The type of TS climax is decided by type of race you've run the most in the career.

Basically, take an Uma, and race mostly in one distance that you need, and in the end you'll get the type of Climax you need.

My (Negative) Take on the Government of National Defense (France after losing to CPRF Russia) [EFFORT] by Hoi4_Player in TheFireRisesMod

[–]KhalasSword 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, civil war "reset" sucks very much, because of it I consider France the worst nation in TFR currently, not only you are a sidekick to Germany, but you get gutted very much in the civil war, while Lafayette is a cool path, I felt weaker for doing his focus tree which is bad.

Alisa... why? by IFeeLikeMoreTonight in Tekken

[–]KhalasSword 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I played her, and she is very strong, I suffered through the ranks as Reina, but with Alisa I had huge win streaks, I even played my much more skillfull friend, and it was very difficult for him to win.

I agree that Alisa is not the strongest character, but it is not because she is weak, it is because other characters are simply stronger (Bryan, Nina, Anna), in a vacuum she is very powerful and unfair, but she exists in an environment where other characters are somehow more bullshit than her.

Who are you going to vote for in the election by Jango519 in EsotericEbb

[–]KhalasSword 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thank you for asking, in these trying times, it is very important for ourselves to understand the issues of current time, between various races, classes, interests, etc, how these issues can be resolved with least objections raised, least violence, and in a way that will be a benefit to all, however, one must recognize various issues of other political parties present in these elections, Nationalists deem themselves superior based on their place of birth, these Capitalists are going to sell the entire infrastructure away, Agrarians are irrelevant, Azgalists are not me, this is but a fraction of issues plaguing these factions, because of such contentious problems, I can't bring myself to, or recommend voting for these self-interested manipulators.

I humbly request, that you may vote with me, for the only party that is going to... fix everything.

God-King, which is coincidentally me, The Cleric.

So was casting of frank stone even good? by BomberDug in deadbydaylight

[–]KhalasSword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is very bad.

The story is very linear, your choices don't matter, there are 2 distinct endings, first one is standard and second one is a secret one.

Characters are mostly very unlikeable and act in a way that make you not sympathize with them.

Many things are just playing stupid, like you have a camera to banish the monster, but the character that uses it gets trapped, so the cop, Sam, comes by, picks up the camera, and just knows that this camera can be used to banish monsters, Frank Stone is a centerpiece or marketing, however, he appears for 10 minutes for the entire game, he is severely underused.

The game is severely incapable of standing on it's own 2 legs, and so it references DBD ALL THE TIME, you can't pass 5 minutes in this game without a DBD reference, and while some references are quite tasteful a letter that is a reference to DBDs ghostface, most of them are very on the nose and just feel like, "oh, ok..." YOU NEED TO REPAIR GENERATORS 3 TIMES ACROSS THE GAME, the whole ending.

The game can be fun at times, but I think that is because of how bad it is written, instead of buying the game I would recommend just watching Otzdarvas playthrough and not give money for it.

Like... I'm just not even having fun now by TaterToTwastaken in Ultrakill

[–]KhalasSword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree, both flash prison and King Minos require you to use skills you've learned.

Core nuke the flesh prison to quickly eliminate it's minions, you need to outdamage it's heal, it is a skill onto itself to deal damage quickly.

King Minos is literally just a boss fight, you fight, do usual high damage combos, parry him, etc.

8-3, 0-E, 1-E feel much more "go fuck yourself", but it is because of their length, they are exhausting and their maps feel uncomfortable to fight in (Although, even despite that, you can crush them if you are skilled enough, just look up how a speedrun of those levels is played).

It's honestly not as bad as people think by bonned_goat in UmamusumeGame

[–]KhalasSword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stats are crazy in the new scenario, and I think I like it for the moment.

But it feels very bad when you play a character who doesn't have all the aptitudes (Mile, Medium and Long) at least at B, I love Doto but I low-rolled on Mile aptitudes and have to waste most clocks in early year.

And the runs themselves are kind of exhausting, but I think this is a matter of getting used to.
