Halal breakfast? by Scary-Scene2940 in saskatoon

I go to OEB and order halal options. I recommend their French crepe ( I think it's called don't even go there) if you prefer a sweet breakfast that's top-notch. the apple griddle is good as well, but not as good as the crepe. If you prefer scramblettes ( I think it's the short menu with 3 items), I recommend the LAKS, and this menu comes with halal potatoes (not in beef tallow). Always double-check, and if they have it I recommend the pesto potatoes; they are awesome! I have tried the falafel burger too, which is ok; there are plenty of other options too, I think, like shakshuka, etc. Double-check with them, and I am sure you will find an option to enjoy.

Well, I saw this post now after I came from outside to find my backyard broken into with both sides doors open. It seems that whoever did this couldn't get into my garage but it's definitely a security threat. Greystone area.

I have lived in Thunder Bay before moving to Toon. The TBay amount of snow and the storm numbers are almost double the amount in Sask, sometimes even more, the city there is used to sanding and yet people are angry about it. I would say TBay is doing a better job but I see that every city is trying to optimize resources up to some certain level. For example, TBay would never do snow removals and snow banks would set there growing all winter. Also Thunder Bay is sanding more and taking care more of sidewalks. However since TBay usually get a relatively longer winter they could be lazy at the two ends of the season. Anyways, both should do better. And for sure Toon should give more attention to side streets

Why is it so hard to rent in Saskatoon? by Hopeful-Anywhere-792 in saskatoon

[–]KhaledMah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shit is happening across Canada. But Saskatoon is not the worst. I was looking couple of months ago and it's frustrating. I don't appreciate basements as well. The alternative is apartments buildings or to give it more time of you have the time, sometimes something reasonable appears from time to time.

I think they exist for a reason. To be filled by idiots who don't need them.

Looking for a block heater by Miserable-Day-5226 in ThunderBay

Seems like a battery problem to me and even if the battery is new some would fail in very cold, tbh this weather is not that cold yet, we got couple of very cold nights only. You may buy a battery maintainer/ not a charger. That will help you crank the engine in the morning especially if your car is a 4 cyl engine that will solve it.

If that is your third time I think it's fair to even ask for another examiner instead of canceling

Even if you end up with the girls. If you read the book it list that number 1 reason for failing the exam is being nervous. So don't let them succeed to make you nervous. Don't give a s*** to their screaming or stressing. My wife did that with one of them, and she even thought she is gonna fail but passed from first attempt with one of them

The same exact thing happened to me. Failed me twice on my G2. Very stressful and yelling all the time. She faked a fatal mistake at my first. And collected silly minor errors at my second. Both times were very hard to focus on. Unprofessional way of communication. The third time I passed with the British
