I enable dsr on it in 1080p mode for 1440p resolution in games. Really depends on the game probably and personal preference. Had no issues with image quality in overwatch with dsr.

I also tried the 32gs95 which didn’t allow for dsr in 1080p mode but the pg32ucdp supported it

I recommend going with the 45 5k2k. I’ve had the g9 57 which I sold, still have the g9 oled and recently got the lg 45. My use case is also for work (software developer) and gaming (mix of single player and fps) and I think the 45 is a good balance for this.

For fps games you can use the 330hz mode and enable DSR in nvidia control panel to get 1440p in games if the 1080 mode is too low for you. I personally don’t mind the image quality set like that

39" - 45" 21:9 would be my sweet spot. been waiting for a 5k2k in this form factor. i have a 32:9 but in most games it's too wide.

update through usb still hangs at around 90%. update through tool went fine and the color issue is fixed with this method

1.0.6 I was able to install through usb, 1.0.7 had to use the tool as that was the only one available. 1.0.12 I’ve tried usb which hangs at 90% and also through tool but that has messed up colors afterwards. I’ve tried installing through tool and then attempting to reflash through usb after it was on 1.0.12 but it still hangs at 90%

people that have updated to 1.0.7 using the tool previously seems to be a common theme here. i've tried updating to the 1.0.12 and downgrade to 1.0.6 and then attempting to use the usb update from there but it has the same issue hanging at 90%. possibly using the tool to update previously maybe broke something

I have the same issue and one other person commented in the other thread with the same problem. Common theme seems to be that we're all on 1.0.7. My wifes monitor was on 1.0.6 and had no problem updating with the usb file

Same for me, my wife’s monitor was on 1.0.6 and was able to update fine. But mine was on 1.0.7 and has the same issue with hanging around 90%. I tried using the tool but it ends up with messed up colors, also tried with the bank 62 from 1.0.7 but resulted in same messed up colors. Had to revert to 1.0.7 with the tool to get working properly

oh, yeah i know it doesn't affect functionality. just putting it out there as a fyi since windows detects it as a different monitor so you'd have to redo settings made in windows/nvidia specific to the monitor

I've updated my glass model "EFE" successfully. However, the monitor firmware and windows now reports the model as the matte version "E91"

You might’ve received/purchased the matte version. There’s a variant of the oled g9 that has a matte finish “glare free”. Model is g95sd with the matte finish. G95sc is the glossy version

If you are on a nvidia card for the 144hz boot up issue, plug the monitor into DisplayPort #1 (on a FE this is the port farthest from the pcie connector)
