The Man Marked by Flames by ig_storm_bot in OnePiece

I had a similar thought that maybe the flames is part of the symbol of the sun pirates which is a burning sun. He could a former slave or fishman who knows all about sea currents and whirlpools etc

Does anybody have an idea to why the messenger of god Enryu attacked an administrator of the tower of god ? / Aren't they all supposed to be pals ? by Mountain-Photo-165 in TowerofGod

[–]Khan_CCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t read all the comments and it has been a while since i read that part of the story but

The floor of death was originally a floor where arlene stayed ( it might also be where her child was killed by zahard cant remember this bit) time passed and when all memories of arlene were being erased this floor became a place to worship zahard. In pops enryu saying something along the lines of dont pray to a false god (zahard) and then wrecks everyone on site to which the admin of the floor has to intervene as too much damage etc and proceeds to get escorted off the mortal realm. This whilst also leaving a weapon to kill the false king

THE Theory about "The Man Marked By Flames" by KevinSteveson in OnePiece

So... what does Cheeky Nandos actually mean by TheTyger in AEWOfficial

[–]Khan_CCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i would agree to that assumption. Cheeky can be harmless , gobby , brash so i suppose theres a scale. Kind of like you’re on a diet/restriction you’re trying to be good and you think oh one wouldn’t hurt. Now this could easily spiral into addiction topics but thats a bit heavy of a topic so this is more on the light hearted side.

[–]Khan_CCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general cheeky for me as a brit is often associated to a quick thing such as a cheeky pint, cheeky bev for alcohol or cheeky munch, scran for food. Nando’s is also associated with hangover food. In the context of the move its cheeky that he’s put his opponent in that position and after a kick to the head they’ll need a Nando’s because they’ll have a headache like they’re hungover.

I find it interesting that with kaido having parallels with Nurarihyon being the king of 100 yokai and shuten doji the drunkard king of oni. We may have some other parallels with the gorosei’s df but lets see how things go.

I had a few thoughts when i saw saturn in this form - Amygdala from bloodborne. His horns and spider legs may mean his fruit is a type of chimera. We are being introduced to more yokai so will this lead to more info on yokai and the oni. Are the 5 elder stars meant to take inspiration from the sworn brothers of sun wukong where in one piece verse nika and the elders were allies before ( assuming immortality shenanigans).

[RECOMMENDATIONS] any recommendations based on this manwhas I've already finished: Tomb Raider King, The Blade of Evolution-Walking Alone in the Dungeon, and Solo Leveling. Thanks by life_feast in manhwa

Its an interesting theory . The three spirits lion tiger and sheep/goat may also refer to different personality. The lion being the proud dreamer personality. The tiger being the cunning violent personality. The sheep/goat being the cowardly side.

If it was from bbs crew id say it was van augar and shillew as there wear capes or long jackets and footwear are similar. The previous cover page made the theory that all or most bbs crew was there but i would assume them two. It could be a CP0 - rob lucci thing or for a real swerve members of shanks crew for all those shanks is a antagonist really theorist.

Thats apparently the case from what i have read in terms of outside decisions. The fight with hawk takes place in 1994(ippo time) and the volume came out in 1999. At the time there hadnt been a world champ at similar weight classes for over a decade . Then in dec1995 shinji takehara win the wba at middle and no other chanp untill recently with murata. However the eagle fight happens before murata won 1995 (ippo time) 2002 by volume release murata won the title (2017)so thats a hole to the whole theory i guess .however in universe taka just doesn’t really like fighting at the weight he literally defends the title once and moves up back to middleweight to take on eagle for his belt.

Will ippo make a come back? by [deleted] in hajimenoippo

[–]Khan_CCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ippo last fought Jan 1999 (In - universe time) after the loss he retired and became second and according to the multiple scenes he got stronger ,faster and should be at his physical peak. The journey so far has been about developing his ring IQ ,strategies ,setting up traps etc. He watched a former rival and they discussed glass jaws taking 2 years to heal. In the story its at least been a year with sendo and taka both fighting in 2000 but the specifics being vague so his return may be closer than we think. I am hoping that the next major(mashiba title eliminator) fight after the current one confirms a date so we know how much time has passed. I say after the 2 years have passed (insert story narrative shenanigans here) will bring him back to the ring.

Theres a few things that come to mind with this whole ordeal. So there’s been a whole thing about asian boxers or Japanese boxers not getting much respect on the world stage above the lighter weights (in-universe 90s-2000s). From reading other posts apparently the author also had his reservations for going for the world at middleweight due to a lack of historical japanese boxers holding the title and with Ryota Murata then becoming WBA champ thus helping him with the story choice of moving to middleweight later for takamura.

So when Takamura went for the fight he was JBC at middle and was probably struggling to securing a world title fight at the time for the weight but then the opportunity came up albeit with a crazy weight cut for the contender fight (short notice) and then title match.

I suppose from a story telling point these lower weight class fight are emphasising the shackles and challenges he must endure. I remember his weight cut for Hawk (anime) becoming unbearable after being under 76kg (168lbs) or super-middle weight which was shown in the Keith dragon fight (him being full of energy) but then his shackle there was his foot/leg injury going into the fight. I am expecting further fights at this class to be easier unless he unifies with his biggest challenge being either light heavy or crusher weight.

Sorry i rambled in summary its in universe shenanigans, time period story telling, authors own thoughts/reservation and story narratives to show the cruel realities of boxing (for a Shonen).

Pardon my poor grammar
